Tough luck. Kedai Auntie will only be open at 3.00pm onwards or whatever time that is convenient to the owners.

And if you're lucky, their daughter will come together with them but only on a certain day of the week. I'm not going to disclose which day  tongue.gif

p/s - Everybody want to go to Kedai Auntie all of a sudden at a mere mention of hot chick aye?

no la many of us still new into metal. I also can be consider new because this is only 5-6 years my journey of metal. Kinozawa recommended several shop because he is old timer and he mention Nebiula, Acoustic and Auntie. And Kedai Auntie seem the most reliable. I didn't know that shop is so near with my study place and rent house. I guess next sem i'm gonna plan my budget wise.

hahaha, but i really prefer Physical medium over digital download even if the digital download is the original or legal. It's a good feeling to browse the booklet while listening to the album for the 1st time. I hope physical medium last forever although some of artist prefer digital downloading today.

Acoustic Music very expensive lerhh... from the past till now.. better you go find to another music shop first.. It's only the last choice when another shop didn't have the stock biggrin.gif

Acoustic? Huh.. They don't mind putting CDs at high prices. We understand their reason, some CDs are imported via internet or by foreign suppliers (mostly Singapore). But it's funny when customers mention about high price, they quickly suggest that they can copy the CD to CDR for RM20. So imagine with rare titles, they got lot of profits by duplicating the originals. I don't know whether they still doing that or not. Oh well.. It just business.

When I was in record store business, "Best Buy" Cds and "Remasters" and "Reissues" CDs were all around RM 38-RM49.. and those were from local suppliers.

As for kedai "Auntie", anybody with Google skills can be so called "Metal Expert" these days. Sometimes I think that she's trying too much to blend in. Again, it just business. If you want to sell something, you have to know your products. Can't really blame her. Actually "Uncle" knows a lot of 80s Hard Rock and Heavy Metal bands. But really choosy on customer he wants to talk about it. Some of old metallers named it (Sifu Syndrome).

As for Khannaz boys' shop.. I like the shop because he never bother asking you "Mau cari CD apa?".. They just let you do your browsing. For me, when I enter a CD store, I'm not a fan of people following me and asking me what CD that I'm looking for. I mean, leave me alone, man. I can help myself. I like to browse each rows of the CD section to make sure I don't miss anything. Hehehe.

It's hard to find good CD store nowadays. I miss the old days. You have to be rajin in surveying. Best bet is to be friend with fellow listeners. You might get lucky when old timers decide to sell some of their stuff. Second hand market not bad either.

Oh.. For those who looking for second hand turntables can check at Mudah.my.

I think that shop really can do well in this industry with their product and why must tarnish their reputation by doing pirating stuff?

Yeahhh i agreed with you on uncle, because he so talkative with me in the past... lol.. Auntie knows what's my taste as well.. So long didn't stop by in the shop.. Got really busy days working nowadays... I'll be in the gigs when i'm free, or my friend's band perform on that day too.. I'm so happy that my old friend from Aradia has re-unite back... They'll release something later....

As for Jaie's shop, in the past (1999-2000) i've always hang out there while they're still on the old shop lot, in the corner.. remember? Previously NMS was very big but now turn to be smaller because of slow reaction on metal scene. PPL love to downloading stuff even it's available in the local shop. I can't understand with this people... shakehead.gif sorry. doh.gif It's because in the past, i've felt of how hard i wanna grab some of metal stuff. I appreciated of metal attitude and ethics as well. I will not likely to buy metal pirate CD/cassette/t-shirt while there's the official merchandise are available unless 'bootleg' t-shirt which offering different design from the official merchandise of the band or if the stuff is very rare it will be excused if you're downloading/dubbing them ...

hahaha thanks for your mentioned about turntable... notworthy.gif anyway, i just finished hang out with an old friend earlier by today.. a friend from Spermblast had suggest me to go to Amcorp mall. Got a lot of 2nd hand turntable there.. So i can test and pick-up which i like... rclxms.gif I think you know him.. He really got a lot of LPs & rare stuff too.. biggrin.gif

Luckily today i got an original t-shirt of death thrash metal band from canada, Dissection.. yeayyyyyy.... very rare!! hahahahhahaha.... it's not a Swedish black metal band which got the same name... Dissection canada was an old band before the existence of swedish Dissection smile.gif So when you see someone wearing this t-shirt on the gigs, it's me by the way... I love to collect rare & old band t-shirt... It's reminds me of the past time too smile.gif

No no, i mean rock and all/any rock/metal genres related to it..basically anything that makes you wanna SCREEEEAAAAAMMMMMM!!! vmad.gif or at least bob your head up and down and do the air guitar/drums..LOL sweat.gif

The genre itself is very wide i guess, so can hentam loads of stuff into it as long as i do enough reading on each sub genre...even metal branches into many sub genres, gonna have to read and try to differentiate between them now..wish me luck bro!

i'm kind of an old-school rock/metal fan. Motley Crue, Black Sab, Scorpions ... xD ... not really into many modern genres like nu-metal & post-metal.

btw, that fairy tale post on the very first page is just classic. kekeke laughing like an idiot biggrin.gif

vinesh - try to find those documentaries on thrash metal - got a few around. - then you surely can get more info on the roots of everything in a jiffy...from that, you can simply summarise that thrash metal is 'invented' by Dave Mustaine...

well, i kinda agree....coz without Mustaine, there's no Kill Em All...and there's no Megadeth vs Megadeth conflict...

the reason i'm more slanting towards thrash is because all so-called extreme metal that we hear nowadays - if you wanna talk about something faster than heavy metal - are all rooted to thrash. And all is kinda linked to Metallica - where the early heavy stuff were all mostly written by Mustaine (Hetfield and Ulrich did some writing too ... but i guess it was Mustaine's work that actually inevitably 'created' thrash)

thrash till death yo! smile.gif
