Bought it outside of malaysia coz currently studying abroad. It was either this or HDX 16, but the HDX 16 with the same specs is way more expensive. Had the chance to play both before buying coz a friend already own a HDX 16.(1 fren also own the HDX dragon,a 20" monster, he lugs that to class LOL).Plus, Dell's Screen is much WAYYYYYYY NICE. The real Beauty. Took a while to save up money lol. Tried to avoid nVidia dis time coz had VERY VERY STUPID GC problem with my S41. Makes me hate nVidia kaw kaw...........

Really loving it rite now.

BTW, what graphic driver u guys use? any good modded Ati drivers?

hey guys, i'd like to ask how's the touchpad performance for sxps1640?
as i've seen in the review, it's a synaptic type but it's always better to ask from the owners of sxps1640. 

I think it all depends on the processor and the application you use. Read in many review that the base P8600 processor should be ok. The more demanding the processor is, the more heat you will get. And of course if you play a lot of 3d games, you can expect some heat issue. Buy a cooler, or use it in a air con enviroment should be ok. I have no problem with the heat.

Anyone having problem with the DVD drive????  After inserting a disc, i try to click on the dvd drive icon on my computer,  it cannot detect the cd and auto eject. Try other several disc and the same thing happen. Anyone have any solution to this? Thanks.

then since we can get the what X-FI SOUND BLASTER SOFTWARE thingy downloaded at the dell website,why would the dell still sell it for rm28?or its the matter whether can we install or not?

My friend use 9600GT & ati 4870 also facing lagging while that devil may cry 4 in full texture ...

Anyone,pls give me opinion on this notebook?is it good?do u guys recommend me buying this notebook for playing high graphic required game like devil may cry 4 etc and downloading anime for whole or 2 days or more days continuously and doing things we will do on a desktop daily?

The offer that dell offers now rm3999 for a dell sxps 16 notebook is it a good deal since it does not have any promotion or free gift or free upgrade?

btw, anyone getting annoying startup installation message from windows sidebar during startup? i kept getting preparing to install bluetooth software... wtf is wrong with that.

yea i do know its caused by sidebar.exe(windows sidebar) cause i've tried disabled that and during the next startup the annoying message wasn't there.

How can one uninstall and reinstall windows sidebar?

regarding my not-so-bothering tv tuner issue:

past few days dell sent me a DHL shipment slip to send my unit back to them without notify me what's going on. during our last email communication which i already post earlier, the issue was left unanswered on the possible cause of action. i was still waiting for them to propose a solution for that up to the moment i received the shipment slip. since nothing is writtenly stated, i just ignore it since im not planning to let my unit go.

today DHL called me asking whether my laptop is ready for collection and i told them i didnt get any solution proposal from dell yet and did not know what will i send my unit over for. i told them i'll clarify things with dell first n will let them know should the package is ready for shipment.
few moments later dell called me and inform me that they would refund me full amount since nothing can be done for the tv tuner.

now, should i do that? i mean i dont need the tuner anyway, it just im looking for compensation of not being able to use it, not like im hating the whole laptop.

hmm. anyone has the best way of cleaning off the fingerprint laptop?
can anyone suggest a good headphone, cooler, mouse for this laptop?
