Most of the PSP owners don't know about modding. it is divided by two categories *softmod = things related to the software section.. such as custom themes, custom firmware, homebrews and etc.
*hardmod= things related to modifying the physical looks and performance of you PSP. such as adding Led's, speakers, creating an internal memory, internal camera, internal mic in psp2000 and many more.
this thread will be organize by several people that have a decent knowledge in their field of expertise hardmod= wetfusion, penmarker, cheewin88. softmod= playboy21
*will add new members when the thread grows
HARD MODDING There are many types of hard modding in psp. so let me start with the basic,
***please say a simple 'thanks' if any of the info in this thread helped you***
SOUND REACTIVE LED'S
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
HOW TO MAKE IT most tutorial are in acidmods.com forums. but it will not be open for public viewing, you have to register 1st before you can view all the tutorial. and i'll refer to lordnico's sound reactive led tutorial. *ALL PICTURES ARE PROPERTIES OF ACIDMODS.COM*
1ST STEP *make a sound cip here are the diagram from acidmods.com *mono sound mod
*stereo sound mod
*pic how to solder it +i am using 181K and 10K to get the 191K
2ND STEP learn how to open your psp faceplate well, there are many video on youtube showing how to open your psp faceplate. +please take note, that this step seems easy... but honestly for me this is the most hardest step of all.. you don't want to scrath your faceplate, you don't want to crack your LCD's, n most of the short circuit stuff happen here. so please pay full attention on what you are doing. even jassica alba is trying to flirt with you, ignore her!..
3RD STEP soldering the MOD Chip to psp motherboard.(pic drawn by penmarker) *thanks for the pic penmarker.
4TH STEP drill a hole in L and R button. put in the led's in the hole that you have drill.. reassemble the stuff... and enjoy your led mod.
UMD DOOR MOD

Since wathcing are much easier then reading.. here is the link to 4dP umd door mod tutorial. enjoy
LED SWAP
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
really easy to do... as the name implies, remove the original led, and just SWAP to new led's. but you need to know where is +ve, -ve... so here is 4dP pic.. *thx 4dP* wifi and memorycard led powerboard led reassemble the stuff.. and it will look something like this enjoy!
SPRAYING TRIMS AND SILVER RING
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
+Well, you have to know to take apart your psp, if you've done that. you can easily pull out the trims +as for the silver ring, i've found a video on youtube that show how to take apart it without damaging the ring.
*now the fun part begins, spraying the stuff. +sand the stuff to get a clear finish. it also give the paint more grip. +spray on a sunny and hot day. +put the can in warm water for 5 - 10 mins, warmer spray gives a more even finish. +spray about 6-8 inches away from the stuff, in a steady sweeping motion to left and right. +remember to start and end the spray off the edge of the piece, that way you won't have build-up on the edges.Go slow and don't over-spray, and you shouldn't have any problems. +gloss it to make it more shiny good luck

************************************************ ok currently i can do led's, internal 16GB mod, and speaker. i accept any modding request with a small charge. but that have to deal outside this thread. so PM me. reasons= getting bored don't have any psp to mod. i do this as a hobby, profits arent my main interest, want to meet more friends. feel free to ask any question about modding
*also on side note. this thread is also linked to zal thread, post your psp pic there. don't care if its unmodified psp, aka S.T.P (stock tapi power) .. or fully modified... just send the pic, share your moment or hobby with us.. if you got a pic of your psp gathering is even better.* so here is the link http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/456551
psp that ive modded so far our 1st gathering pics!

dunt wory... if got enough money from modding psp. ill buy another ps3 controller, and learn to mod them. wii xbx360 ... the possibilities are endless... just time will tell *** thx for being the 1st to post =)
Nice to see someone helping others to mod their PSPs.. I'm currently using the older generation Fat PSP but with the simple function of having the light beat on the Trigger L & R beat based on the sound made by the PSP via the earphone..
This post has been edited by Sh1mX: Aug 25 2008, 01:51 PM
you mean the led will only be 'on' if you insert a earphone jack? same stuff man... just need to solder the stuff on jack circuit instead of speaker point.
Speaker used: Sony Ericsson MPS-70 Portable Phone Speakers it really booms the sound, but drains your battery like a vampire. will post a mini tut shortly after i disassemble it.
Notes: :: Do note though that I only did this mod. How you wanna customize it, place it, modify it, is fully up to you. I got no resource to make a new backplate to house the newly placed speakers, that's why its sticking out like that. :: Please follow the exact steps in this tut as you can possibly damage your psp permanently. :: Warning, massive pict bomb.
now, lets get started shall we?.
items: a Sony Ericsson MPS-70 Speakers a meter of different coloured 30gauge kynar* wires (depends, if you dont wanna color code, you can use only one color) a soldering kit consisting of soldering iron, solder, soldering paste (flux), a damp cloth (to wipe off the bit of the soldering iron.makes the soldering process cleaner without black carbons) tweezers if you have a hard time handling small parts wire cutter, wire crocodile pliers a solder wick if you got any and of course, a psp. haha
*30 gauge is the size of the wire.
The speaker part.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
first of all, you wanna strip the speakers naked first. to do this, pry along the area. and then continue to unscrew the visible screws in there. should be no problem at all.
these will be the internals of the speakers that little circuit beside it is indeed the amp circuit for the speakers. that means you dont need to buld one from scratch like the soundmod. moreover, it uses 3.6V, just like the psp. it eases the process as you dont need to do any calculations to make it work. after disassembly, desolder the wires that goes to the phone jack. (that part where you stick into the cellphone. )
a closer look at the circuit. the points from left to right: +, -, C, L, R, RA note the C and RA? well, me and the guys at acidmods failed to register the use of it. so we concluded its a Sony Ericsson exclusive point. no need to solder them.
the + should be the +3.6V and is the power in for the amp. the - is the ground. L and R are obviously the input for the amp. the L+, L- and R+, L- are the pins for the speaker output. cut off the wire from the speakers. it eases the fitting.
now, that should clear the speaker part. moving on to the psp part.
The psp part.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
dissassemble the psp, this guide might help: PSP Slim Dissassebly Guide. please make sure you've read and fully understood the process. a wandering mind can really screw things up.
in order to give way to the speakers, the umd reader have to be taken out. i dont think it will be much problem as you guys must've tons of .iso games. also, holes must be drilled on the umd door to locate the speakers.
the amp will be placed under the d-pad, at the left side of the backplate. there is ample space under the mem stick reader, and coincidentally, the amp doesnt bother the mem stick reader at all. just enough space.
cut off the minor supports in that area. drill a hole on the wall beside it to route the wires to the speaker outside. this should do the trick
Soldering the amp to the motherboard.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
take the headphone jack fom the psp, and short the pin 3 and 4. shorting them tricks the psp that there is a headphone jacked in. you can add a switch there to enable on/off functions. but too bad i got none now. the 1 pin is the Left input, and the 2 pin is the Right input. solder them to the L and R pins on the speaker amp.
connect the + pin on the amp to the battery connector on the psp motherboard. make sure you solder it to the lower pin on the right connector. *make sure u dont over use the solder and cause it to touch the other tiny components. that'll be bad*
connect the - pin on the amp to a ground point on the motherboard. now, there are a few ground points on the motherboard also the headphone jack board. but in this case, i soldered them to the motherboard's ground point, easier.
after all that had done, place them orderly in the space we've cleared. a pict might help. remember to insulate the exposed circuit from the mem stick cage. they might short out. for low voltage electronics like this, a simple masking tape is enough. but for safe, use an insulating tape.
note how clean the wires are?. it may take some time for you to tidy up. but trust me, its worth it.
run the speaker wires out the hole in the wall we made earlier to the umd slot, and solder the speakers respectively to their connectors.
After all that is done, reassemble the psp carefully. try not to break anything in the process. test the speaker. done.

I've setup a dev environment for softmod in my pc like months ago but never got a chance to sit down and do something hhahahahha I'll just wait for playboy's stuff lol....
yea... he is 15 mine you! too young to know about programming... as i said... maybe, with a lil bit of time and commitment. he can be the next big thing after darkalex.. lol. hahahahahaahaha
that is kinda cool. my current speaker rig is running on headphone jacks too. having a hard time looking for a switch, that local store dont sell any. dont know where to find.
**added remade the cage for the speakers using the stock case for the speakers. gotta trim off some areas to fit it in and the great thing is it can close properly now. snapped some pictures of the new cage for the speakers. damn pda camera. quality bad. haih.
though just supported by some double sided foam, it can close well and less 'ghetto' looking. haha. now im looking for fiber putties to remould the new plate. hey anyone know where they sell those?

yup.. nothing new actually... just need +16GB SDHC +usb card reader
solder the stuff to memory card point... *but there are certain ways* * required high level of soldering skills... because its not easy to solder the stuff.

Ah,it's good that you've got the developer environment for the psp installed on your psp. Now,if you do have C/C++ knowledge, then you can easily look through the psp-programming tutorials and build your owm piece of gem. It's very simple if you understand the entire concept of it.

Alright,i've got some pretty good stuff right here.First up,i'll post some good homebrew games that were developed by some developers who have mastered the C/C++ programming language. Here ya' go.
Here is my very own tool named TrickBrick v5 : TrickBrick v5
Simple guide to upgrade your psp from any custom firmware which is higher than 3.52m33-2 to 4.01m33. *Works with 3.52m33-3,3.52m33-4,3.60m33,3.71m33,3.80m33,3.90m33 and 3.95GEN* (The updates on your firmware doesn't matter unless you have 3.52m33)
*More to come in the future including DCv7 and 4.01m33 easy-installation guides* *For XMB Themes (CTF/PTF/Flash0),go here Consolespot * *There are themes for OLD firmwares like 3.40oe-a and up to the latest custom firmware*

Kinda n00bish in PSP stuff, so I just started by installing CXMB first. Problem is that it won't work on my PSP, firmware is 3.71 M33-4. Followed the guide exactly and directly. When I apply the custom theme, it just returns me to the default theme.

Hmm. You got the correct version of the theme? Themes working on 4.01 M33 wont work on 3.71 M33.
haha... overseas modder... he is among the well know modder in acidmods.com. most of the tuto there he write them... along with lordnico, folklore36 (he teach penmarker on doing the speaker mod)... a many other modder.
people like me just copied what they are doing... but those guys create the stuff...
Feel like an idiot now.... yea the theme is for 4.01 only. Dang!
lolz. Dont feel that bad. People make mistakes once in a while. But why dont you update to 4.01 M33? I really like the apollon theme for it. Very cool.
playboy now is bz with his PMR... mayb have to wait lor... hehe im thinking of doing the "hitman" symbol on psp umd door.. with red led's.. that would be cool

I may soon. Before that, any problems with 4.01? Most important is game compatibility. Is the firmware stable?
It should work flawlessly on your psp.Give it a shot and tell me if it works

One more question, when I update my firmware to 4.01, will I be able to use the themes from 3.71/3.80/3.90 then?

Cant. Unless its the official kind of themes. But those themes sucks. CTF and flash0 themes being unofficial have no backwards compatiblity at all. But most famous themers will convert their themes for use with the newest firmware.
Need to update my firmware to 4.01 first, cause that ClickSide theme for 4.01 is pretty damn slick!
Can try Appolon Black also. I really like that theme. Too bad heartbeat isnt on 4.01 M33. Thats a cool theme too. Changes colour when you go into different places.

you should try whippedcreme for 4.01 , changes color too. but a little annoying, messes the bground's color. haha.

Good to hear that you've got it to work No,the CTF themes for 3.52m33,3.71m33,3.80m33,3.90m33 and 3.95GEN wouldn't work on your 4.01m33. Yes,as Blueberry said,PTF themes would work. And yes,as penmarker said, you can convert these themes as well for your firmware. This however is not an easy process,so just upgrade to 4.01m33 lah
Thats why i use monotone background for those themes. Hehe. Less annoying. Whipped Creme is by who? Xander too? I know heartbeat and appolon are made by Xander.
As far as i know,WhippedCreme/HeavyCreme is a creation of both SchmilK and XanderChaos. The theme however,is based of SchmilK's pervious theme which is known as "SchenShiTiViTy" (Can't spell it right lol),so most credits of the theme goes to SchmilK.XanderChaos helped SchmilK to implement the creation of his which is the "HeartBeat" effect which gives WhippedCreme/HeavyCreme a whole new feel (At least for me) hehe xD You should see SchmilK's Sony OSK(Keyboard thing),looks really sweet.

There is one for 4.01 M33 now? Hmm. Maybe should update my slim for that. My slim is still on 3.95 GEN. Was waiting for the GEN team to create a 4.01 GEN. Meh. I think i'll just go ahead.

need some help here, i installed the cxmb plugins, but after i put the ctf file in theme, my psp cannot detect the theme. Anyone can help??
Found a solution, that is i have to go to cxmb folder, the conf.txt there, everytime i wanna change to theme i need to rename the default.ctf to the name of the theme i wan. Can anyone tell me why only me have to change like that@@? Why my psp cannot auto detect the themes... And besides that, although i can apply the theme, but only the icons and stuff work, the background picture does not>.<
This post has been edited by htpkevin: Aug 30 2008, 11:18 AM
I assume you're using the "full" version of CXMB.By the way, what firmware is your psp?
If you're on either 3.71m33,3.80m33,3.90m33 or 4.01m33,follow this guide of mine and it'll help you to install CXMB 3.2.1 on your psp.It should work fine then.
The full version isn't really recommended for those who have little experience with CXMB.Trust me,i use the lite version as well.
Added on August 30, 2008, 11:44 amAnd,just so you know, you do not need to rename the "default.ctf" to your ctf theme's name.Just add another line below it.Example :
default.ctf vines.ctf heartbeat.ctf
etc..
This post has been edited by Playboy21: Aug 30 2008, 11:44 AM
err, i solve the problem ady, coz i forgot to uninstalled the theme in flash0, no wonder psp cannot detect all the ctf themes. Now my psp can detect all the ctf themes ady, still, for some themes the back ground remain white, but some working, i assume this is theme's problem?
Aha,cool then.Yes,it either is because the theme doesn't have a wallpaper for it or you didn't select it.Go to theme settings and see if you've got it.Choose original color and see if it works.

is this suitable for the LED MOD?
1st Q: i think that is the one, but i dont know about the model. burned my led once. try asking him about 0603 SMD leds. i think he got that kind of led. 2nd Q: yes it is. but its advisable to keep the led number below 4 for each speaker if you wanna do stereo led mod. it'll affect the sound quality.
sorry, you cant pry it directly. and that link you gave dont give me the permission to enter. gotta register first eh? the wifi switch is soldered onto the motherboard, so you'll need to take the psp apart since its located on the underside of the motherboard. 1st Q: i think that is the one, but i dont know about the model. burned my led once. try asking him about 0603 SMD leds. i think he got that kind of led. 2nd Q: yes it is. but its advisable to keep the led number below 4 for each speaker if you wanna do stereo led mod. it'll affect the sound quality.
what are u trying to do actually?. if you're using the wifi switch as the speaker/led switch then you should take the motherboard out to solder on the pins. oh wait sorry i didnt read your pervious posts. yeah the wifi switch can be pryed out without taking out the motherboard. just be careful doing that. the wifi switch is kinda small and quite vulnerable.
**added you are just gonna paint the trim right?

penmarker.. that wan if i use the guide exacly like the 1st page.. the mono wan.. it'll be like the youtube vid in there rite? means the light will follow the beat. if it's correct then i think it's pretty simple.. cause i went to acidmods.. there they show together with speaker.. i duwan.

yea2 follow the 1st page's tutorial and you'll do ok. its very simple and the result will be like the youtube video. of course, that light on from the umd door is because he drilled a hole there. so the light inside will show through.
fcuk... penmarker.. you told better use 100K n 100K then 191K n 30k setup.
i triewd it last night,it didnt work.. the led didn't blink at all. the led doesn't have the same brightness some led become hot, then the solder tint melts..
i think dunt hav any chance to revive it... maybe just a short... will check later just a reminder to all of you guys, use 191K and 30K setup or just solder them directly to the speaker point..( if you want to use these, bridge the sound fuse 1st)

depends on your personality n choice la. for me, transparent isnt really my thing. can see al the insides n kinda berserabut.. camo also good what. ahaha. got camo pants, cap, sweatshirt, selipar. i love camo.
after much consideration i think the transparent look kinda cheap.. the camo psp looks much more classy.. haha.. i think i'll just stick to that.. and i'll b goin to mod my psp 2molo or wednesday! haah wish me luck.. looks easy.. hopefully wont' screw up.. sorry for the lost of wetfusion's 2nd psp.. we'll learn from it..
haha.. i dunno la. i'm so confused.. my fren said camo with lights doesn't suit.. LOL.. i think i'll just start with the lights la.. see how it goes.. if it's nice then i'll just stick to it..
hey wetfusion or penmaker.. anybody who is willing to help me.. i've soldered everythin d.. but now right.. got light but it doesn't blink.. do u know wat's the problem?
Alright,as i promised wetfusion, here it is.Images of my psp as well as my brother's.Mine is Ceramic white while my brother's is black. Both are PSP1000 units a.k.a fat psp's.

Just a suggestion, any plan to do spectrum/rainbow light? Like those infamous mood clock? Perhaps add another function button or custom interface in the PSP so we can change the color/spectrum as we pleased.
How about a blurred/wash-out transparent ring at UMD door to produce even colour distribution?
anyone who want to hire me for modding please send you psp this week since i want to mod all of the psp at once.. well... ive opened advark psp. to my surprice it was ta088.. the mobo looks different. actually you can identify ta088 mobo by looking in the umd driver, it looks different cos perhaps sony want to cut manufacture cost.
if i can mod around 11 more psp it would be great so help me out hehe
its the slim. luckily he got the ta088 V1 if ta088 V3 , it cant be flash to install CFW some of the cips have metal cage that cant be remove... mayb sony dunt want people to mod to play pirate games? oo yeah chewin, does your place got UV leds? (aka purple led)

nope, coated it with clear spray.. you have to see it with your own eyes... and touch the surface, really smooth and solid. 2 layers of red spray, 2 layers of clear
Hye guys! New noob here. Dunnoe anything bout psp. Just know how to turn on and play games. LOL! Yesterday, i managed to update to version 4.01M33-2 and added the cxmb thingy. I have a few questions though...hope u guys can help me out. 1. After installing the cxmb MOST of the .ctf themes work. However, some don't. Y is this happening? Did i do anything wrong? I think mine is the lite mod. Cos i didn't flash anything.
2. This is to wetfusion. I'm really interested to hard-mod my psp to 16gb internal memory. What i'd like to know is, when i mod it to 16gb internal memory, can still use the memory stick slot right? If that is the case, would u be willing to do this for me? Of course i will pay.
Lastly, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri!!!

rzs77 - not really sure about software~ but for the hardware...16gb~ normally we will take off the memory stick slot~
wetfusion - @@, no le...just a beginner ^^...you're the dai kor in this thread~ btw... if u guys wanna mod urself also no problem..we try to guide u from step by step~ TAKE YOUR OWN RISK to mod your psp~ For me...enjoy the modding~

Make sure your .CTF themes are for CFW 4.01, for example, 3.90(and all other version) .CTF themes will not show up on 4.01 CFW.

Oow...so that means i won't be able to use a memory stick after i mod to 16gb internal memory? That's a pity It's not so much about the space but i'm more concern for the convenience. If i can't use a memory stick, that'll make it hard for me to download things on my psp. It means i won't be very 'mobile'. I'll have to bring the cable everywhere i go right? Can someone please confirm this for me?

Thank u very much Kellicros. I've found out that was the exact problem. I had 3.90 ctf themes!
Not sure is the correct place to ask or not, where can I get the screws replacement and the analog module replacement for psp1000?
Lost a screw accidentally when i disassemble it and the analog seems having some problem as well. ____________________________________________- So hmm, anyone here had any experienced with dealextreme.com? Planning to get some replacement parts from there.

kellicros... your psp... we'll see what i can do in a few days
also i've taken out the little metal bugger that you want me to transfer to clear faceplete
haha, thanks very much bro, i plan to stick with the clear case for a long time ,thats why need to transfer those metal things so i can use the accessories that need them. XD
Actually I would suggest him to not buy one until PSP-3000 is released, then PSP-2000's price will drop a lot.
P.S.: That is, if you have no interest on the brighter screen and implemented mic, like me.
now as my friend told me tat the price will increase alot when psp-3000 out...because as we know psp-3000 can't crack anymore, for malaysian style and u should understand rite?
Penmaker~ thx dude...yea... phat....i already cut alot...can't cut anymore... the speaker magnet kissing with the casing~
I took a quick search and the price did not skyrocket, most stores are still selling at the usual market price, and here's a secondhand PSP at average secondhand price.
BTW, I believe in Dark-Alex, this is for those who thinks the PSP-3000 is not hackable.

wetfusion did an awesome job, but I would like a bit of amendment if he doesn't mind, let's see how it looks after the changes. Thanks very much, wetfusion, and sorry for the troubles. XD
wow looks like wetfusion is really making this thread grow.. my psp mod plan failed.. >.< cause i used too thick wire already.. so guess i'll just have to survive with my current psp.. when got money time only i'll give wetfusion do.. but dunno still possible or not causemy soldering cacated.. a lot of the parts cannot see liao...

wow thanks for the survey, i just found 2 and i'll be trying my luck to get them. although leds at the LR buttons and transparent casing, & umd bay with neon led is very tempting & pretty but for now i'll be patient untill i get a real psp. till then i think i'll explore more of softmod.
here's a question : what do you guys prefer? softmod or hardmod?
that's the amp... needed for the leds. we need to talk more. about those new ideas.. there's a possibilities i can put 2leds on the side..

both.. you see... when you use psp for a little while, you will get boring to play games on it.. then you will use psp other function.. mp3,. mp4, and internet.. which is great... it'll become your personal gadget. and here's the hardmodding come in, you want your psp to be unique. looks cool and etc.

awesome.
playboy isnt in for a very long time now. @_@ so boring without him.
no la... thats some pics that some of the forumer at acidmods take... just want to share with you guys.. lol... dunt know if the lcd work on psp2K or not.. but if it works that would be awesome.. hehehe
Can it be work out?? I heard last time PSP 2000 cant support other LCD screen or it just a lie from sony??
I hope can change the LCD for PSP 2000 coz the ghosting effect fark up my gameplay...ROFL.
i guess it wont lol. but no harm trying. the screen can be sold later as spare parts right? well, the psp3k draws more power to its screen, and so, maybe the circuitry on the motherboard is more different than just the overall layout. lol. i think its safe to put psp3k screen on psp2k. cuz its supposed to suck a lot of power. but putting psp2k screen to psp3k might be dangerous haha. suddenly got power overwhelming.

anyways i think i can just stick a hp mic somewhere on my psp1000 (since there's so much space) tweak the cFW abit and then i can call mine psp 1-3k lol
no hastle guys i already updated my firmware to 4.01 m33-2 this site really does help.... but do read the instruction properly... u must have already a 3.5+ cfw running before doing the update or u'll just brick it..... by the way is the kernel 150 update important?
thx.... just done the kernel update.... everything is fine....
Added on October 17, 2008, 5:40 amnext on up will be creating an own custom theme.....
wait for me as i will post it up here for sharing... might take my time to research how evrything work.... just saw some tutorial and tools on other forum....

Wahh got mamak doing stunt sumore.... wait ahhh... yesterday after downloading all the tools i also half blur case d.... read the instruction.... wanna faint d.... But it shouldn't be too hard.... Keep up the modding scene....
the psp at page 20 are so cool!! ^^ btw,if i want to mod my psp to just like that who can i go to? i scare doing it on myself because i am dull in that =[
Just a little update on the progress on creating a total custom PSP theme...
It's kinda complicated... I think i already have all the tools now... still looking for some tutorial or guide and make sure i am on the right path.... If i succesfully created one of my personal one.... I'll create a nice official LYN theme for our community....
Anyway if anyone had done it before.... could give some tut on how you guys make it...
last night b4 i go home, i was walking around kuatan parade to find some material for modding. so i go at this 1 phone repair shop... and buy the leds.. the technician there asked what am i doing with lots of those leds. so i took out some of my psp and show him he was quite amaze.. so we talk for a couple of minutes... about circuit and stuff... he was briliant about circuit and how.. showed me some soldering technique... recommend me to use the coil of wire like cheewin showed, works nice!... so i was thinking mayb cheewin is also an expert like him lol... then i talk about putting phones speaker on psp...
he then give me these speakers for free... I REPEAT FREE! its kinda weird at 1st, just knowed him, he oledi give me free stuff lol.. but perhaps he understand my hobby.
so i tried it... the speakers are f***ing cool... small... thin and packs a punch.. even got bass!
these are there speakers
fits perfectly under the umd [attachmentid=635546] looks like a car bonet lol... open umd... the speaker pop up... just testing it fits or not... lol
so i tot i would also fit on my psp... i've made a speaker holes... and put some steel net
ngam2 fit!
advark psp
thx ah onn for the speakers..
cant wait to finish this project

haha... i'll try to search around in KL coz i think there is one shop quite close to my office selling electronic stuff.... or maybe bro cheewin88 can give us some heads up....
not really have nothing lahhhh.... I've been to kuantan before.... and i love the environment there... wanted to go again but lazy to make the three hours drive lohhhh.... lolz....
This is the video made by kypes of acidmod on the fader circuit he build... maybe can get inspiration from there... but i think we could just get a chip or something easier to make the same effect lo....
Thanks a bunch for the mod wetfusion! I am absolutely loving the video, can't wait to put a black faceplate on it when i got it back.
Here's some picture of my black + transparent psp before sending to mod by wetfusion, I sent him the complete clear case instead of black front for some reasons.
I like it very much, and I will be sure to post some new pictures once I receive my PSP with LED and Paint mod by wetfusion.
BTW, kuantan has good waterfalls, good mountains, and good beaches, i am going there for a trip this weekend.

man ive been living here for 18 years, believe me... when it comes to electronic goodies.. the option are limited.. kypes dont built them lor... he buys at sickmods.net =_=" then he install at his wii
its not ez to built a fader, the capacitor must have the correct voltage... you dont want to f***up the psp mobo...
ya... look at the price.... dem cun also... its not that hard really... just need proper tolls... mine you that the solder point at ps3 are bigger... at psp are REALLY SMALL.. and compared to my mod price, its way.... too cheap... no wonder at singapore they charge SD60 just for led swap.. mine only rm35...
that PS3 mod is sick.... but it's not all electronic marvels..... it's the main mod on the casing which made it unique.... if u got money to get carbon fiber stuff and able to calculate the thickness of that much layer of clear coat but still have a perfect fit for your console also can....
try to imagine one carbon fiber bonet is also 1000++. If u want to send your PSP cover to be custom in carbon fibre i think will coz about 500++ coz it's custom...
But it's a very good example.... Anyone willing to go that far? Maybe we can join few modders in our forum to project it....
