does X4 HDD running raid-O having lower performance then only
X2 HDD raid-O?

From benchmark, performance only increase by a bit and not smooth.
Kinda disappointed actually.

Even a WD640GB can beat it.

if go raid 0 later if one of the hdd gone whole data gone.. its quite risky in my opinion. been running it b4... but once data corruption occur, whole data gone.

Yup...That is Raid 0.
If Raid 1 & Raid 5, then different story already.

But I already took that risk into account.
So dun wan care so much already.

i was wondering is there any p35 t2rs user using a proc wit .5 multi?
i flashed my bios to the latest bios
but still couldnt find the .5 multi
only round numbers available

i did..... always use .5 lulz...

just enable n/2 iirc

raid 5 is the best, but expensive...

btw, plan to give my quaddies another go at my P35 UT b4 considering changing board, mayb last time i missed out some tweaks.

and also i plan to switch to DFI LP UT X-48 T2R if the random bsod issues still occur on the P35, mayb UT P35 + E8400 are better matching, anyone can give me comment about the DFI X48 + Q9550(C1) ? plan to switch onto the X48 so tht i can run the Q9550 fully stable... pros & cons... oc ability etc...

planning to go raid 0 also. pws, can you test the performance on jmicron controller?

I having problem w JMicron controller.
Cannot enter to the setup page to create Raid configuration.

what sort of problem? btw, do you need to install any drivers in windows for raid config?

If you wan to raid, you will need to create a Raid array at Bios portion.
I cannot create the Raid array using JMicron. Not sure why.

If Vista, the driver is already available. But it is recommended to update.
If XP, you will need to create a diskette for the driver.

wa! 1.4v....i wonder what is the temp running linx

Hehe... Full load vCore drops to 1.36v.
Stress under LinX, temp is 73 max core temp.

But i read from xtremesytems forum, they said dun depend on the DTS value because incorrect. And got one fellow still said clock until the throttling start.

So I also dun wan care d.

i think its true, read it b4 at xtremesys, 45nm proc temp sensor error rate are quite high till +/- 10c after 50c. So its juz for our reference, +/-10c... roughly the temp we getting.
