C2Q 45nm users, come in and show me you break 4.0ghz barrier with your quad . I cant even break 3.5ghz properly with my X3320. Going to try harder later by pump up the vcore.

Technically, it's tough to get over 450fsb on quads. Even to stablised it on 440fsb is not easy
*
Yea i was kinda disappointed because i was aiming for 4.0ghz just like my E7200. But stuck at 444FSB at the moment.

Damn it seem like going to 460FSB is not possible for me even i pump to 1.5v. But there is a guy at garage sales with the same X3320 doing 480FSB at only 1.3v .

Bro, u got to understand, those boards without GTL ref has its limitation like most of the budget P35
yup..GTL ref,.it's useful on quads

Damn now i know why there is ppl who buy those expensive board from shop. tongue.gif

Is intelburntest really that accurate? I pass 40 loops at 450FSB on 1.20 vcore. But then after the intel test, i open my IE, my computer just freeze out . Even super PI fail . But i can pass the test.

wa...40 loop so much ka?

better not be over stress till *touchwood* *touchwood* sweat.gif

i tried on 5 loops config only.... but it can only pass 2 loops when i already tested my proc to pass prime95 small fft for 7hours
*
I put 40 loops then go sleep. Wake up, my pc still running. Click close program, and open IE, it hang. Then i restart run another 5 loops, drink coffee, it finished and success. Then i on microsoft word, hang again. Not sure why this happen, but problem solve after increase voltage.

Hmmm with board that capable to adjust the VTT/GTL how far more then can push the fsb? I was thinking to change to DFI P35 Iron because it has that features in the bios .

Change the board so we can break the FSB barrier. I got problem looking at my Cpu speed below 3.4ghz. My target is close to 4.0ghz actually. Disappointed when got touch my processor. tongue.gif

I did some experiment with IBT last nite.

My X3320 at 3.33ghz only stable with around 1.3vcore.

So i go in window, and i use EasyTune, and tune down my vcore to 1.23volt. As i predicted, IBT max stress 40loops , all success. But after i close the IBT program, my PC straight BSOD.

My window is Vista 64bit. Window problem? Or my IBT problem?

same here. but not like straight away BSOD, i can't open welcome center and all application inside windows control panel. it happens if i set @ 3.3GHz above.
*
Yes finally someone face the some problem like me. But the IBT test still pass no matter how many loops. I did tried 60 loops, success then hang. lol rclxms.gif

Haha yeah, a lot of ppl impressed by Xeon name. My cousin came to my place, I asked him which he think is faster - my QX9650 or the X3320. He thought X3320 =p

Cyclone - X3320 is ~5-10% faster than Q6600 at the same clock rate, due to Yorkfield core optimizations. That translates to 200-360Mhz (around there la) at our current overclocking So there's no point going back to Q6600 when X3320s can reach 3.5-3.6Ghz lor..
*
Yea i going back to my X3320 and run it at 450FSB daily. Gotta learn how to satisfied. laugh.gif
