So... Essentially you're unhappy he posted and decided to go post something about it in the wrong forum, it then got closed so you figured you'd open a new thread everytime the one before it got closed?

1) It's called a joke.
2) If you have an issue bring it up with the mod in question, here or directly with an admin. Posting a thread in the wrong forum will get it closed, whether or not it was a "cover up(rofl, cover up, what is this, csi?)" is irrelevant. Spamming new threads in the wrong forum because your last one got closed is the wrong way to do it, and quite frankly it pisses us off. Try to be a lil smarter about things next time.

Moderator should not even see who actually posting the comment!!! They should just see the comments and nothing else. If it's wrong, then close it or delete it. Nothing personal. Just facts!!!

No, I'm sorry but I don't agree with you. I mean, as much as I hate his guts, I'm leaning towards stringfellow's side here. I mean, I don't see it as a joke. I see it as an opportunity for the moderator to take advantage of a noob's misfortune by trying to deny people from helping him and then getting a good bargain from the noob.

Again, why didn't the moderator assist stringfellow by asking him to post his complains through the right channel rather than just repeatedly closing the created threads.

I'll moderate those threads. I'm the ultimate candidate in unbiasedness because i don't give a rat's ass about football and i think all the teams suck. I'll flag everyone for warning equally because it doesn't matter who gets the warnings, as long as somebody gets one.

If this thread is about a misread joke, and it's consequences, hell, it's like pissing in an ocean of piss. Making fun of people is awesome fun. It's like not he lost a crumpet eating, tea drinking, monocle wearing contest and tried to cover shit up. It's about a joke that got out of hand and the damage control afterwards, which is acceptable if it's there to keep things down. That's generally it isn't it?

Being politically correct is all fine and dandy, but if were to equate this to a list of real world offences, this would be up there with jaywalking. FYI, I don't personally know any of the other mods, staff or admins, I've never talked with any of them face to face and have never phoned/sms'd any of them. I don't talk with ianho outside of moderation issues, I don't know his msn or email. So no, not all mods are friends, they're acquaintances. Since your comment was based solely on the false assumption that I was his friend, your argument is fail. I'm not helping him when he's getting bombarded, I'm simply pointing out the flaws in Stringfellow's approach to the situation and how he could have handled the situation better and that if you post in the wrong forum, your thread is going to get closed.
