is something you can play around with your flashgun,for example put your flash in a distance,command it and bang,then picture result mostly is a wow!

reply to shiinkuro31 as well,d40 has the feature to do CLS but it cannot command your flash gun.
alternatively you can buy SC-01 cable cord or if u wanna do it wirelessly with limited budget,just buy what i have bought,some china brand flash trigger named PT 04,is fun to play with it

yeah,is best to charge it for 8 hour

then go check the picture take with d40/x/60+kit lens with canon's entry level,you may just find your answer

get a d60,is not a fool to get 1
my gf have a d60 and i had a d40,i personally like to use it because what i felt d60 can handle a bit better of iso performance and the i love the lens much

erm,i can't help you on the AE_lock thing,i would tell you honestly i played with mostly on manual.

Overall your picture is shows good attempt,keep it up.
anyway,you may want to include more colourful images like red and orange to make your pic not dull.
and try not to shoot on high iso on broad day light,the natural lighting is sufficient enough,there is noticable noise there


on this mm_park2.jpg.you may want to opt for higher shutter speed to freeze the leave movement,i believe there is wind blowing quite hard right?
