we cant guarantee every possible buyers will take care of the hamsters properly right? even shop keepers cant guarantee it either. Plus how can you justify that "those people don't know hamsters at all", do you know them? Plus you yourself at first , were you born with a natural instinct to know all about hamsters? No, right! You "learnt" so give other people a chance too and i'm still learning aren't I? If everyone has your thinking then you should do a petition to stop everyone from SELLING hamsters at all. And are you slandering me of killing hamsters? Hey know wat, go report to PETA. Gosh! If there's a list of ethics or laws regarding this, pls do post them so i won't get off the guideline.
Shop keeper can't guarantee it cos they don't even care as what they want is only money. With you buying bulk from them and sell to everyone is just helping them in their business and let them know that there's market and they'll breed and breed without quality and even inbreed the hamsters even though they are not suitable and young, therefore this will shorten the lifespan of these hamsters due to all these demand. I do not mean that I wanna stop people from learning but these people do not need to learn by making mistake and they can learn from other people even from other's mistakes. Of cos I can't stop everyone from SELLING hamsters but what I can do is STOP encourage those people from selling by not buying from them. I'm not slandering you of killing those hamsters directly with your hand, but by doing what's in your mind to make profit out of that will help killing hamsters and make hamsters suffer indirectly if they ended up in people who don't care a you also can't guarantee they will go to good home. As for your buyers, they will not get good quality hamsters or even healthy hamsters as pet shops won't care for what they sell. They just wanna sold them off even they are sick and injured and telling people that's fine or that's normal. As you said, you are still learning. Can you provide advise and sufficient info for your buyers on how to take good care, how to tame and how to rule out the hamster's health and what to do when the hamster is not well or sick? This are just basic for all hamsters owner if you wanna be a good owner. And how about keeping 2 in a cage and keeping in pairs? What would you advise to your buyers? What are the basic necessaries for hamsters? All these are questions and considerations before you get a pet if you do care for animals. If you don't, then nothing better or need to say. If there's law or guidelines to protect for all these small animals, that would be the best for all the small animals and I'm sure we'll also get benefits on getting good quality animals here. But sad to say, our country do not care about them. No guideline or law doesn't mean we can do anything. Ethics is from our heart and not only the legal laws. I'm not mean to flame at you or anyone else, if you do feel so, my apologies. Added on September 1, 2008, 12:16 pm
