guys, my friend say she saw an article in the web that bath sands will affect the hamster's respiratory system? I haven't seen the article yet but does anyone know about this?

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Sep 15 2008, 12:27 AM) yea, found some articles on bathing dust already. Looks like she read wrongly...threw away the whole pack of bathing sand just like that can I wet a bit of tissue and wipe the hamsters a bit? Coz they look really bad now all of a sudden. Their fur like my hair after I put gel... |

you should stand on one leg, and fall on your back...see how she react. Later she put you in a cage
one thing they do that isn't cute...is eat their own. You should be careful with that. What kind of hamsters do you have now? Winter White? Robovski? If you don't know the species, tell us the color...we may be able to help identify. |

some can mix...some cannot mix. You just have to keep an eye out. Mine can mix so far...once a blue moon they fight (either that or play a bit too hard)

just visited Fluff on my way back home, and I have to say...the place has a really nice ambiance. Things there also quite cheap compared to Pet Safari and all the other big time shops.
Got a Living World Mineral Stone to try stop my hamsters from biting on the cages...and they quite like it. I just hope it stops the midnight "prison break" for good |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Sep 16 2008, 06:53 AM) Anyone seen the new OVO Loft? Looks like 2 OVOs combined together to be big. The steel top grill looks like for better air circulation on the top. Looks expensive too... looks small and narrow...![]() More info here |

My cheap-a$$ cage bought from Pet Safari
- food bowl - water bottle - big transparent house (which they never use) - toilet roll - mineral stone (upper floor) - tunnels leading to the upper floor - silent wheel - house I also added a third floor to stop them from falling too hard on the ground. Got nothing on the third floor. |

but wait...will it fit into a critter trail mini cage? It'll be very packed inside there if you put that. To me, the CritterTrail mini cannot be expanded any further...unless you get some tubes and connect it outside the cage.

QUOTE(edwinlcw @ Sep 16 2008, 11:59 AM) yep, I think I saw CritterTrail tubes there for sale...3 straight tubes for about RM15 or less. I bought one pack of tubes from Pet Safari, Ikano for 26 bucks. This many! But mind you, the tubes from Pet Safari don't fit CritterTrail tanks. Different makers... ![]() my two hamsters likes the mineral stone ![]() |

QUOTE(shayne @ Sep 16 2008, 02:35 PM) yep and a very nice long hair male too yea, will do. Too bad the tunnel got closed for no good reason...otherwise its a whole lot easier to come by. Hope they really open back the tunnel by the end of the month.FLUFF is open 7 days a week from 11am to 11pm (we r 7/11 for pets ooo, u r the gentlemen-look guy! thks for paying us a visit and please do come again when u free. no need to buy things also nvm, can come here chit chat or do gathering also can! QUOTE(sangels @ Sep 16 2008, 06:38 PM) If you just need to go back for few days, don't advise you to bring your hamsters along as they need to adjust themselves to the different environment and they will get stress. My cousin's hamster went back to her hometown with her as she gotta move back permanently, the hamster so stress till bite her sister and he never bite anyone before. He just get so stress. Imagine, your hamsters have to adjust to the new environment and just get adapted and yet gotta shift back to a different environment, how stress they will be? Leave enough food and water and you can leave them for few days without problem unless you are going back for weeks or months without anyone can take care of them, then you can consider bringing them back with car. For me, they are very sensitive with the surrounding and easily get stress. they get stressed so easily? I was actually thinking of doing the same thing...put them in a smaller cage for when I travel.another thing...do your hamsters make squeaking noise a lot? Mine suddenly started making those noise, which sounded like they're fighting, when the other runs over her. You know how they just walk over each other when playing |

QUOTE(sangels @ Sep 16 2008, 08:53 PM) Yes, they easily get stress as they are very sensitive animals. They are very sensitive to sound, light and smell, as your environment changed, everything changed. My hamsters won't have such problem as they are living all alone, that's why I have so many tanks at home so, what do I do? I figure she's just scared... |

QUOTE(athirah88 @ Sep 17 2008, 07:12 AM) My Aloe skinny meh? agreed...its like a house. Not like a shop at all. A very welcoming environment. Would love to see more products there though. But you should go see FLUFF.. It really don't feel like a pet shop, more like someone's house.. That's my own opinion. But you should go there and see for yourself. @edwinlcw - yep, once a week. Mine overdue for a change 2 days ady This post has been edited by Aeon_Clock: Sep 17 2008, 11:05 AM |
