i still prefer cmoy by a large margin, mainly due to its smooth presentation pair well with my AD300. nod.gif
E11 got more power and bass, but it doesnt pair well with AD300, too bad

just my opinion, i've listen to hippo box+ once before, and i found that its can goes on par with E11 (but not as strong as E11), with a cleaner bass but not too much, but i think hippo box+ is slightly overprice (well, this can goes to cmoy too) and it doesnt come with volume control. and cmoy always depend on the setup, an if you meant the default setup (OPA2227), i could say its a lot smoother than any amp i've tried before. take a cmoy and pair with my current setup, its like a smooth heaven blessing to me wub.gif

well, i hope you get the point, pick what that please your ears smile.gif

I have the same problem, is your soundcard problem (assume you are using internal laptop sound card as me).

Tested with my friend E10, it turns better, although still can be noticed in very high volume.

Please do avoid E3 and E5. If you are back few years ago I will still recommend them. But currently good amps are competitively aforedable. If you are looking for just a volume booster that is better than both E3 and E5 then get the E6 instead, if you want to improve sound and performance get the E11 or the JDS Labs cMoy instead.
