I'm not to sure, but you could check the hardware manager when you plug in your DAC.
How can it be disabled that easily, just from the volume icon?

nvm solved it, go to playback devices and show disabled items,and enable it there......phew.....

Price for success, unfortunately. It took them almost 3 years to see fake E5 and now it only take 6 months for E6. But it also shows just how long FiiO has grown over the years.

just got my fiio E11 from tong lee
finally my cheapo setup complete
It's now T-Muso Dac/clip zip > Fiio E11 > superlux HD661

Hey guys, I'm having a weird issue when connecting Fiio E17 with my MBP 2011 as the volume is still controllable by using the volume control in the OS itself. However when I connect it to a VM running Windows it worked and it is confirmed because I now couldn't control the volume through the OS, and playing a 24-bit FLAC display properly in the DAC as well.

@e1 what are the specs for e07k? Same Wolfson 8740 Dac?
