it all comes down to how demanding your iem or headfons are, dont expect e6 to drive Beyer T1, heck even some tube amps also fail..

So amp can cucuk any IEM or headphone but need to 'see' their performance 1st.

That, but some can be seen from the amp's spec. For e.g.; an amp w/ high gain isn't suitable w/ IEMs cuz it'll be too loud plus every small turn of the volume knob will give you a big increase in volume. Don't ask me for other examples, cuz that's all I know.

Did anyone tried Fiio's D3 or D5? I really need an advice, I might need to get a DAC soon, but both of them seems just so tempting, but I can't try them before buying. D3 uses optical in which my macbook has but don't know still working or not, it supports 24bit/192kHz, D5 only 16bit, uses USB but it has line out. Really struggling now :S

That makes me a super iFag with 1 iMac, 2 gens of MacBooks, 2 iPhone 4s, 2 gens of iPads ...
