where is the shop bro?

i oso wanna get VS5 fan, but i think the length from pulley to blade quite long...380mm according to spec. My house ceiling very low - 8.5 ft compared to Panasonic/KDK fans, it is actually shorter, but very much more expensive ...

i heard can get shorter rods from alpha, but wonder how short can they go..

if ur house already has the mounting and electrical points, it should be a snap with the right tools, if not i'm sure the shop can arrange someone to come over for a nominal fee.

the sensa pricing is rather steep - does it include installation? u should be paying at least rm50 less if it doesn't include installation

try looking around in Taman Paramount, there are quite a few KDK dealers. Alternatively, visit KDK website, www.kdk.com.my, and check out the dealer list there.

my friend, the National brand no longer exists. Matsushita, has unified their products under the Panasonic brand a long time ago!

that brand is just one of the many brands by local companies, but manufactured in china, like rubine, alpha, euro uno, etc

they undercut the big names (panasonic etc) in price, and make up in terms of longer warranty and service...

i think they have some models which are under rm200 for a fan...u better check out on the service commitment and parts availability

went to Taman Paramount to get a quick quote on KDK Sensa 5 - RM585, can still nego if confirm...most prob take 2 units and a few ventilating fans including the cute sounding Raku-raku!

Look for shops that sell KDK fans, it should be about RM16x

you should expect to pay about RM460-480 range for Sensa 4 if you look hard enough.

most shops now tend to push fans from brands like Alpha, Elmark, Deka, etc etc as the profit margin is higher than Panasonic/KDK, this was explained to me by a dealer who sells them, may or may not be true, but it seems most logical

sapu'd some KDK Sensa 5 and ventilation fans from QQ Lighting in Puchong...hopefully it'd be okay for my low ceiling...

RM545 cash price for the Sensa 5 ... rm100 for the 20ALH

quite cheap as other places wanted RM570-580...worth the travelling cost to Puchong since I took 3!

didn't check, sorry. since you can get to 1U, why don't you take some time to go to Puchong as well?

sad that I cannot really buy deka/alpha/elmark fans which are much cheaper than panasonic/kdk - all because of my low ceiling... only 8.5' high...would have saved so much!

the lower your ceiling, the lower your fan will be. if you are tall, then you'd have to be careful not to extend your arms towards the ceiling fan.

regardless branded/local brand/watever brand, check the minimum length between the ceiling and the blades. I did my research with typical Deka fans and Alpha VS5, even if I cut the rod to the minimum length, it would still be too low for my liking - so I went with KDK Sensa and Panasonic Nami Jr for my fans as they are the shortest.

conclusion - do your research and don't rush, check the specs/dimensions/measurements before making a decision that best suits your budget and usage.

V-touch is a slightly older model with a longer neck. It is also cheaper, but it lacks the temperature sensor that the Sensa 5 has which can dynamically change the speed according to temperature - you may or may not find this useful. Obviously the design is different. An equivalent model from Panasonic is also available.

the Sensa 5 is a newer model which is more expensive, and belongs to the range of KDK 100th anniversary models. The neck is shorter which makes it better for low ceilings. It also has an LED light, which isn't very bright. Panasonic does not have an equivalent model.

best you try it out yourself at KDK dealers etc to find out which is best for you.

Sensa 5 = RM5xx
Sensa 4 = RM4xx
