KDK/Pana are rubbish. They are nowhere as good as they once were. I had multiple units from different models fail in less than 2 years of light usage.
Alpha is also rubbish. Bought 2 units of their e-light model for RM550 each 2 years ago. Close to 1 year both had problems not spinning properly (slow). Had them repaired under warranty and now at 2 years both stopped working altogether. 1 unit was hardly used while the other was used everyday. Was quoted RM300+ each for repairing the fans. Decided not to repair since this brand is rubbish and not gonna last anyway. Also for RM300 each I can buy a new fan rather than repair unreliable fans.
Have 1 unit of Elmark fan (around RM250) bought at the same time as the 2 Alphas and used every night and its still fast and working fine.

The Elmark could be just a fluke but I am not gonna be spending too much on fans moving forward, will keep it around RM250 since most fans (other than the old regulator type model) are not reliable and are absolutely not worth the money since they can't even last 5 years.

Yeah, that seems to be the most common case. Don't know why they use such cheap components on their fans. Will try to remove the PCB and bring it to Jalan Pasar Joe as mentioned in this thread. If its reasonably cheap to repair, will get it repaired. One of the Alphas made noise for awhile before stopping altogether. I think the bearings are probably worn out. Will try to change that also if I can remove it.

this deka model x7n (https://deka.my/x7n/), when turn on, it doesn't rotate anymore.

before that, it still can rotate, but the speed maintain at low (probably speed level1) even though remote change to 2/3/4. and today, it doesn't even rotate, when turn on, it just move a little and stop immediately.

i took out the board already, any1 can recommend how and where to fix it? of coz.. cost effectively

Yes, generally not as reliable as the old regulator models. My Elmark so far is the best ceiling fan I have used, its performance is good and still works well after 2 years. But not sure how long it will last. Based on information in this thread, as long as you're willing to repair the pcb (common problem being the transformers failing), should be better than buying new all the time.

I have a Panasonic Yuragi f-m15e2 fan and it has been making noise & moving slower than usual. I read that it might be the capacitor. I opened to have a look at the PCB board today. Anyone knows which is the one to be replaced?

I bought a mitsubishi 5 blade love the design on the wings c56rw5  for living room windy and nice however I bought 2 units deka f6 feel like went Hollandbecause of the cheap price , motor is strong but not windy only if directly below the fan , maybe the blade is so flat, luckily only bought 2 maybe put on those not so often use places like guest room or 1st floor livingg , however I still need 3 more units any recommendations? Budget 200+- each , looking at the 3 blade remote kdk is it a good choice , or perhaps other ? Sifu can recommend?

Fan hunting for my house... been looking at the usual dependable Panasonic/KDK...

Then came across Aeratron... fuyoh very chio... so decided to get 2 for the living and dining room.

So doing some research before dropping 3k++ on 2 fan...

Looks like Aeratron QC/dependability is really not up to mark... so many complaints about the electronics side of the fan..

ANyone here can give some feedback?
