Getting Started

|
Right now I'm playing these games with emulator Nestopia
-Batman The Return Of Joker -Ninja Gaiden 3 -Contra 1 and 2
BGM for Batman TROJ and Ninja Gaiden 3 so nostalgic(and awesome too). I remember when I was in primary school I always whistled one of Ninja Gaiden's bgm in the school bus.

The NES connector plate is even worst as you required a lot of blowing, sometimes I even used a bit of alcohol. Strangely enough I don't have this problem on Famicom, which I guess the design is much better.

Depending which region you are getting from. PAL is the cheapest but the games are hard to come by and they are not compatible with NTSC games. The only reason to get this is to play Tenchi Tosou in English, the only version. Super Famicom is second in terms of pricing but you can only play games in Japanese. US SNES is the most expensive because of shipping but you can easily DIY mod it to play Super Famicom games as well, and needless to say it has all the great games in English

Yes there is, but it's not easy to find and cost quite a bit too. But PAL and NTSC still not compatible for some games, especially the big and popular titles like Super Mario RPG. Even MD also have the same problem, but instead of cart size difference they also have region lock chip. If the chip is present, such device would be useless.
