well..during my SNES time, there wasn't much RPGs at first. i happen to have stumbled on Illusion of Gaia and its great. its not just like zelda where you get items and travel here and there, not to mention linear 1 goal story. Illusion of Gaia has a much better story, has levelling up, very dynamic settings, good soundtrack to suit places & situations. Sorry for getting hyped up but this is just one of my best childhood RPGs.

I forgot to turn off the power switch and my SNES AC adapter died the next morning I woke up

sorry to hear that bro. i remember the AC adapter for SNES get easily overheated. the thing is like burning hot after like 2 hrs of play time. Therefore, i went out and buy a more expensive third party power adapter and it solved the problem.

You should get a SNES and mod it to be able to play SFC games sonic There are plenty of loose SNES games available for reasonable price, while it is easier to find complete games for SFC.

I never owned a SNES but I've played it at a friend's place a long time ago, it was a fun console... The classic consoles that I have are the Sega Saturn and Sega Dreamcast...
