i have a better idea.. buy ps3 to play ps1 game..

That's terrible idea really, first it's emulated, secondly the PS3 rescale PS1 games terribly. But PS2 is different, it's running on hardware plus you can add option of smothering + faster loading.

IMO, the PS3 rescales some games well.

Those games I have that are native at interlaced resolutions look like crap, while the progressive ones look rather good.

Although playing GT4 on a PS3 is awesome, as GT4 supports 1080i even on the PS2

I don't know about PS2, but I can say PS1 is games are terrible on PS3, even the screen ration is wrong

It depends, I guess.

Earlier PS1 games look horrible.

However, the PS1 classics on the PS store don't seem to have this problem.

FFVIII is beautiful on the PS3

to be honest i never insert ps1 disc into my ps3

not gonna try that until all my ps1 & ps2 died

assuming you use ems , you can go the ems there and calulate the shipping .

Don't know how heavy.. hopefully $250 shipped after including commission

what bro gundam says is true as i have tried on the ps3 not satisfactory still prefer the interlaced CRT or the 240p resolution,i bought a NTSC U/C PS2 from U.S solely for ps1 gaming

the ps1 games on the store seem to have been touched up a little bit.

also, you can opt to turn off scaling on the ps3. that way it stays in sd and you can still benefit from smoothing

wana join the club come come PS2 now selling 99.00 USD in U.S but i got mine when my cousin came for holiday

i think for now i will keep to :

modded ps2 for all ps2 games
modded ps1 for all ps1 games



but before ps2 goes out of production, wanted to get a silver and a red one.. mod or not mod also ok.
just not going to US any soon and no confident on console shipment

I you don't mind pixelation then it's minor

i have bad eyesight
was playing a ps1 game on CRT, the connection was loose but i didn't notice. was playing for about 1 hr , with the screen showing like 16 color graphics.

later on i feel strange and adjusted the connection, then it came back to regular ps1 color.

so don't take my comment seriously
