They do block certain websites I think.Or blocking u to download certain things.Like Torrent..Erm..I duno whether verycd is torrent or not..Is it?And dygod..Somemore,cant do hacking..

Torrent, VeryCD all consider P2P, so blocked.
Not sure about DYGod as it uses FTP right?
But I believe they block some programme like xunlei..
No idea about PPS (I didn't use it).

i think P2P is always blocked in every universities because the mass downloading may interfere with the speed. what i was wondering was, can websites like youtube, facebook, metacafe, twitter, etc. be accessed?

Youtube no problem, facebook has some limitations where games (like Restaurant City etc.) is only accessible from 7pm to 7am only.
Not sure about metacafe and twitter as I didn't use them.
But from what I see, the blocked websites are usually reasonable.

Ah..xunlei is blocked..I have no idea about it..Hmm..That might be not so good then..Bad that Digi broadband is not here..Celcom is good.but expensive..

u can try TTS4 wifi.. the houses there are newer and the facilities are better.. with 500 should be able to get u a nice house..

yes, it is newer than other TTS areas..

with tat price.. u can almost get a whole house (unfurnished) in BSS..

If you mean the internet service, then I will say it worths it for you to get it.
This is because the internet service has UNMC IP and hence is able to access some journals which are only available from Nottingham network.
That would be helpful for your 3rd year I beliveve.
