I will consider if the RM288 static IP comes with 2.4Mbps as how P1 provide to the public.
RM288 is not a small amount of money sweat.gif
*
thanks for your suggestion but do note that P1 is now far more congested~ I've tried both and Amax is definitely the winner for now~

right now I am working and current place is not my own house. I rental it and I cannot predict where I will be more that half year.

I wonder what will happend if I could not finish the 1 year contract?

thanks in advanced! : )
*
easy; sell off the modem and package to that other person who may need just half a year worth of access~ but seriously, I advise u to only take on the package if u are sure of being able to use it for at least a year~

if less than a year, u can consider contractless 3G packages, which u will still need to purchase a modem~

feel free to contact me if u wanna subscribe to any internet or purchase any modem~

Thanks for your quick respone.
I wont mind for the modem. But I sked the bill will keep charging and I not be able to terminate.

will this be happend?
i don like 3g package with quota sad.gif
*
there is a contract of 1 year but if u are able to pass it on to someone who wants to use the service for after u want to let go of the service, then no problem, password also can change if that happens~

okay! Thanks for your advise. I think i will go for it. the 68 single user package yawn.gif

Will one month of trial be available?
I read previous post it is some how like pay for 1st month then after 1st month if satisfy with the service then only go for contract.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks!
*
the moment u not satisfied, I guarantee pay u back deposit on the same day~ if u want extended trial, I'll borrow u my personal unit, lol~

That's a BIG bummer. Am interested in Amax, but it's pointless for me to switch over if those less than RM100 packages won't support DDLs like Rapidshare and Megaupload.

Hope the people in Amax can fix that to attract this big bit of the market.
*
currently, it is possible to download using direct downloads but if the IP changes before download completes, then it would fail~

technology can be improved, lets see how this goes~ thanks for the suggestion~

what  i worry is that during demo times it works fine, but after i get 1 for myself than always suffer for low speed or unable connect. previously i always hv one case like this, i get P1, during the demo times it works perfectly fast. but after i get one for myself to use, low speed and 3days out of a week is dc. Call ISP and ask, they will tell you that ur area is out of coverage, they can give any garantee service.
*
I personally borrow u my own modem for additional 7-days trial~

Just want to check on the following issues:

1.  Is Amax service covering Ampang Mewah (Jalan Ampang Mewah 6, near Cahaya LRT station)?

2. Will it be possible for high rise building resident to use Amax service?  Let say for level 14?

3.  Is there any termination clause by customer?

4.  If we are using the desktop modem which is provided, do we still need a router for wifi purpose?
*
1. not covered
2. absolutely, though many factors play a role, there mustn't be too mch blockade, water retention, interference, etc.
3. customer can terminate anytime

sexualpower -> Oh, you are here to sell your business.

I am Eddie from Qinetics which apply 2Mbps - 1 fixed IP package from you.

What I can say. Overall is quite satisfied although there is some network interruption in between but it still have the sms to notified me and they dare to admit if there is a problem occur(when call them). Not like streamyx, even got problem also not dare to speak out.
*
yes bro, as stated above, the maintenance has been from 3rd October - 11th October due to their network issue (the speed was brought down to an estimated 300kbps and was fluctuating)~

all throughout, they are transparent especially when it comes to customer service~ best thing is their warranty~ (actually, I wanted to say that best thing is my company's free demo, free visit and trial, but I guess this is a public forum thread, lol)

i like to ask, can existing user change their plan from the old plan to the new one without reseting my contract period
*
Raki, I have thought of this myself as the newer packages are more flexible and is possible for users to change devices~ I can't answer u this as this is the first time I've ever encountered such a question~ I don't think u can migrate from the old packages but feel free to call up their main office at 03 - 7726 2629 or 03 - 7727 4550 or their hotline at 1300 - 80 - 2629~

QUOTE(demonicslayer @ Oct 15 2009, 09:22 AM)
Seems like there is quite a number of internet provider now in Malaysia. I am currently using Streamyx 1Mbps package and I am getting approximately 150kbps(+/- 10kb) download speed. Although I am still quite okay with Streamyx, but due to my heavy download usage which might go up to 50 GB per month or even more (depending on Streamyx dl speed). I am thinking of going for another ISP which can provide higher and much more stable connection and dl speed.

I am currently staying in Bandar Puchong Jaya, Puchong (somewhere near the middle of the covered zone of Bandar Puchong Jaya).  Is the connection stable enough since I am downloading a lot from MU, RP, MF and so on, and I am also using if for online gaming? Lastly, what is the max dl speed that most of u guys/ gals manage to achieve with AMAX? I hope someone could enlighten me on those issues.
*
wired always beat wireless (except for mobility)~ direct downloads will be disconnected upon change in IP at an estimated interval of 30min~ gaming is not advisable for all wireless connections~

the main strength of Wimax is pricing, unlimited usage, no capping, great for torrents, superb policies in terms of usage, the least congestion among all wireless broadband in Malaysia

Amax is providing exactly what it promises; 1Mbps package will allow u 1Mbps

for any other questions or a demo, feel free to contact me~

Well, if it is on an interval of 1Mbps download per second. I don't really mind since we can say that you can download close to 1.5 Gb of files for half an hour (considering all those waiting time before you can dl). Well, that is superbly fast since I think there are still no broadband service in Malaysia ever reaching that.

However, gaming will be hell of a problem since the connection will disconnect once per 30 minutes. Kinda make wonder whether I should switch. lol. Thanks for the info.
*
that's right, that's exactly what I wanted someone other than myself to admit, since on normal 1Mbps packages, I experience completed downloads of new torrents daily~

now, if only torrents can match the speed of our internet, lol~

seriously, gaming is a no-no due to the current situation but technology always improves, I'll inform u for sure if there is any changes to the IP issue and latency, of course~

static IP package is now at RM288 per month with free modem~ I think it's essential for those who wants to host anything from blogs to websites to their own boutiques or gaming servers~
