Myself have PSB Alpha B monitors for listening to music. For the price i paid they are very good performers.

Amp is NAD C320, CD player NAD 521BEE

Went to A&L Amcorp yesterday to get DV-410. Alpha B1 out of stock at the moment. Kinda still like B25 over the T1's. Maybe cause been planning for sometime to get them as my main monitors.

Yamaha NS50-F floor standers against PSB Alpha B monitors.

I bought some pretty new NS-50F from forumer here and was curious how they would sound against the Alpha B's. Hooked them up to my Music system (NAD CDP + NAD Amp). Gave it a listen for max 30 mins and ended up hooking back the Aplha's back.

To my ears the PSB Aplha's won without any real fight. So the Yamaha NS-50F are now hooked up to my cinema system. They sound okay there.

Maybe my NAD Amp did not have enough juice to drive the NS-50F but the combination of NAD with the PSB on my music set up was so much better compared with NAD with Yamaha NS-50F's.

Stands i bought from ATF in Amcorp. About RM 300 got good wood sand filled stands 2 years ago. Yes sound improved after that. The Alpha's strong point is the mid range. Very strange that the midrange is not okay for you. What CD player are you using and from CD to the Amp what is the analog cable?. What are your speaker cables?
