QUOTE(friends @ Aug 16 2008, 11:40 PM) Other links seem to be USELESS to newbies/noobs. So, totally NO point keeping it anymore. Below information provided is more that enough. By removing all those information listed ealier, maybe not a very a wise idea. I understand that many newbies here may not read before posting, but for your information there's other group of newbies / noobs needs that information. How many members in LYN so far, 100,000 member ? In my opinion maybe a very small percentage that are very active in their favorite forums thread. So, from 100K members that shows big quantity but maybe only 5% of that figures happy to be here.-=[ Apple Official Links ]=- ★ iPhone 3G Main Page ★ iPhone 3G Tech Specs ★ iPhone 3G - Available Countries ★ About Activating iPhone 3G With A Wireless Carrier (Added : 13/09/2008) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « If the above information also useless, perhaps they should try these out. (Good Luck !) ![]() Let say 5% of that big figure, 1% need that information that you've removed so pity to them. Sometimes we need to understands that not everybody really smart like we are. So its our duty to help them even only 1% of total 100K member in the forum need that information. Its not only happen in this forum, but its happen in other forums as well. Newbie comes and go but there's newbie stay here long enough to become "sifu" one day. Remember not everybody can become sifu. Anyway its your choice and your rights to remove the information even there's small percentages of forumers still need it. Its just my 2 cents. Pardon for my comments. p/s : For example i'm using Mac computer since 1999, not very long and my knowledge just so-so only. What i can say when people talk about Apple computer the most popular is, "Haiya ! Apple mac very expensive la..", "Very difficult to use Mac Os laaa." and many more, but there's also people very interested to use or buy Apple Mac but don't know where to start. So its my duty even i didn't get anything if i teach them, but i'm happy later if one of them become Apple user and at the same time i got a new friend that can chat about Apple products. I maybe talk to many people about Mac, but if only one person become a new user of what you also interested, its good already...Hmm ! maybe sometimes we get boring explain the same thing, furthermore most of them don't know or don't want to use mr "Google" but like i said not everybody are like us....... Well, now everyone has to find their own answers. Not that dificult anyway to find infos. As you have mentioned, they r not smart. Well, what can we do. One word to discribe them..dopeys. I'm glad friends did what he feels important as he wants noobs/everyone to cultivate a good habit of searching for answers by themselves which is more rewarding in itself. Cheers This post has been edited by davidgary73: Oct 15 2008, 01:05 PM |

IMHO, i think those thread shall not remove because some of us (not newbie) might want to refer to some spec or some material over there.
I do agree where some ppl are just lazy and asking alot of too general question or repeated question where you guys highlighted the solution.that y i tends to avoid those thread if i can unless really stupid questions. |

Well... like I said earlier somewhere, every single individual has their own perspective on one single thing.
We unable to please everybody here.... it's totally up to the forumers' mindsets and 'attitude' while browsing thru here.... either to learn by him/herself, or choose to be spoonfed. Of course, either one, you may or may not get always what you expected. If you don't... then find another solutions to sort out your doubts/questions. To me personally, those newbies/noobs choose to use their 'immature' way to post their Qs, not even care to read up some threads at all.... Yes NOT AT ALL. Dude, you are in a REALITY world... Do you think you are still in the Uni/College 'society' where most of the things still spoonfeed to you ? If you are not being pampered to be so, then I don't think you would like to be spoonfed at all here neither. Does that make sense ? You do your own LOGICAL thinking..... CODE IF [ You wish to be spoonfed ] THEN You probably will not get what you expected always ELSE Do your own research/reading before asking any newbies/noobs Qs ENDIF It is totally up to the forumers, to make their own calls on everything... It is undeniable that everyone has the experience of becoming newbies/noobs before.... but, the question is.... which level of newbies/noobs you are ? Why some newbies/noobs get their answers on their Qs, and why some are not ? There must be a reason behind, isn't it ? So... to overcome so much of these troubles and hassles, I think something has to be done. Sometimes like, Qs that posted are VERY LACK OF INFORMATION, don't you think so ? At least information on what he/she has done, what firmware, what problems (more details one) have to be provided.... Otherwise, how do you expect Seniors to help out on this kind of Qs without enough of information ? I believe everyone here is very keen in getting their doubts/problems/questions resolved, there's definitely a way to get to the right path.... Either the HARD way or the EASY way.... They make their decision on that. Again, most of the things in this world, you need to do the rest of the things by yourself only with a small piece of useful information provided. You shouldn't always expect every single things from anyone at all..... Only with that kind of method, one can gain the knowledge, or more precisely is "stand on your own feet". No offense to anybody here, nor anything.... It's up to you to choose on which perspective you are looking at things. Peace |

frankly speaking, there is no point arguing/debating because at the end of the day, it is up to the creator of those useful threads (whether it is deem worthy to upload them)
he has not said or hinted anything, so let's not complain and try to enjoy ourselves here. |

Just want to ask this on behalf of my friend..
Recently she spotted a shop in BB plaza selling Iphone 3G 8gb new set for 1.5k++... She told me it is unlocked ... assemble in China ... She called me and told me the things the seller said which is the above.. and I told her the price is too fishy ... So is it possible to have an Iphone sold at that price ? |
