QUOTE(SPS @ Apr 11 2009, 11:14 PM)
This is a silly rhetorical question - Singapore's political system elevates competent technocrats and hence the likes of Najib would NEVER even get into public service in Singapore, let alone be its Prime Minister.

I second that!

I use starhub

018012xxxxxx same as local charges.

Materazzi,
You are asking a very weird question, of course a mixture of male and female la.. there is no such things as Flat A for women only.... This is Singapore not some Arabic country.

When i first came to singapore, I was in deficit mode though my pay slightly above $2.5k, dun ask me why, maybe I was to obssessed with shopping. Branded goods here are relatively cheaper as compared to Msia.

Plus, I remit S$1k to Msia every month so i survive on around 1.5k.

So, my advice is that, dun shop too much and control the urge to shop..

oh...so should I just translate the BEM cert only and not the birth cert and spm cert? I wonder will they accept it if i submit the BEM cert in Malay because i'm hopping that it can improve the odd of my application getting approved. Anyway, I've found someone who might able to help me with the translation. Do you think it's safe to leave the original document to the folks at translation.com.sg? hmm.gif
*
Just make a photocopy and keep the original...

I don't know for sure. I haven't been chatting much with the auditors who come to my office lately. Last I heard, hiring, increments and promotions were not high on the list of priorities.

Chess_gal should be able to help shed some light for you.

hahaha.. been very occupied with work, well the new batch had their basic reduced and not many new faces around, in my dept that is

Food was so so, not a meat lover myself but smartalec enjoys it very much. My favourite of the night was the beef bacon.

Bill came up to S$67++ after discount (Buffet & cocktails), cause we paid with citibank cc (50% discount).

Rating 6/10 - cause like i said, not a true blue meat lover.

as i heard last time (~3 years ago) as long as the company apply the work permit through online or post, the worker are allow to work in the company for a month while waiting for the application to be approve. i'm not sure this is really the case or not.

there are a lot of news where company hire the person without apply the work permit, then force the employee to go back without paying their salary. if u have doubts can check with the company smile.gif.
*
Yup, you are right, when i first came here, i was allowed to work up to a month pending my EP application to be approved.
