"Huge Japanese electronics store sells out of Xbox 360s"

Yodobashi Camera is probably one of the largest electronics stores in the world, not just in Tokyo. Recently a visitor to the spotted something truly amazing - the Xbox 360 was ALL sold out. In addition to this Amazon Japan was all sold out of Xbox 360s, seems like Tales of Vesperia has caught the imagination of the gamers of Japan!

With Tales of Vesperia launching in Japan pushing 360 sales ten fold and the announcement of Final Fantasy 13 coming to the 360, things are looking really good in the land of the rising sun for Microsoft.

I guess Sony's failure to secure exclusive for the PS3 will eventually cost them dearly in the future. In fact the launch of Soul Calibur which sold more copies on the 360 is a sign Sony is no more the leader in the next generation war. And if the 360 momentum continues, Sony will end up playing catchup all the way instead of leading the way.

Looks like xbox360 really making progress in Japan now!!

Totally in agreement here.
Tales of Vesperia solely will have a big impact in the Xbox360 sales in Japan.
And till the numbers come in, the largest Xbox 360 Akihabara Store has already sold out their stock of Xbox 360 (all versions).

first time seeing X360 outsold PS3 and PS2 combined, now that's something will make Sony shat bricks

Blue Dragon, the so called Xbox exclusive build for Xbox360 to pull in japanese gamers failed to do so, what's the hype about ToV this game anyway?

tried one or two of the Tales series games b4, didn't quite like it, honestly I dunno where's the charm is

No wonder I've been encountering a lot of Japanese players while playing Halo 3 over Xbox Live, lol.

Its not about this month or next month. When someone pick up a 360, chances are they will buy more games in future and then they will enjoy some of the best games on the 360. Then they will recommend it to friends and so on. Its like a train....when you got the momentum going its hard to stop it!!! That is why Microsoft have been investing heavily on exclusive and it pays off.

Sony on the other hand is losing all the exclusive that makes PS2 such a success. That is why PS3 is still playing catching up till now.

PS3 should have disabled the protection (under the table...hush2) then people can pirate and the sale will grow. >:]

duh, i dun even consider this as a solution to their current problem. it is kinda pathetic if you have to resort to something like this just to boost ur console sale.

never really care about these things anymore, is not like i buy Ps3 and Xbox 360 to start worrying about how the brand popularity and sales peform in the market, heck gamers dont work for these companies, so why they bother about sales figures??

My advice:
Enjoy games as it should be, let business people take care of other stuffs, its their job to monitor these sales figures, cause they are paid to do so.

i dont think i'll use my time to do some side research just to indicate which company are doing better jobs, what is there for me to gain from this?
