Here's a little inspiration for your next article:
Gears of War vs Uncharted. Both great games with good graphics. Both scored very high among critics and fans alike. Both are third person shooters. Both were big budget exclusives. Now that's a logical comparison.

Fact is, both consoles have much to offer. No one can say for certain that the PS3 is better than the 360 or vice versa. Another funny thing is, people keep saying 2008 is the year of the PS3. Oh really? Take a look at the charts again man, it's Nintendo's year! It's Nintendo's generation.

PS3 exclusives better than 360 exclusives? Compare each and every one of em. Are they all from the same genre? NO! These sort of comparisons are void. Both consoles have great exclusives.

And that story about FF13 being on 6 discs? Don't be ridiculous. Do you even know anything about developing games or even simple data? Games can be compressed. It's up to the developers to determine how much compression they need without compromising end product quality. A more likely disc number for the Xbox 360 version is 3.
Oh yea, one more thing. Square-Enix wants 360 to die in Japan? Do you even play or even read about other games or is it just Final Fantasy with you? Reality Check! Tales of Vesperia and Star Ocean 4 are 360 exclusives (for now). Both are big JRPG franchises in Japan which can push the 360 sales in Japan.

The amount of ignorance in your above thread hit an all time HIGH when you touched the subject of Forza 3 being multi disc. Changing disc in the middle of a race? OMG you're such a genius! /sarcasm/ Good luck finding a job which will pay you for being such a tool.

Stop wasting your time supporting a console maker. They just want your money. Support the developers who are doing it for the games more than they are for the money.

Do more research next time. Sony has the PS2 and PSP in the market. The amount of JRPGs are being developed for those 2 platforms definitely beat the 360's upcoming JRPGs.

Did you read Carmack's follow-up interview? He clearly states that the KEY PARTS of the game will not be affected by the compression. So that means, both versions will look, for the most part, identical. Don't even try to start your next post by saying it will still look worse, cause it won't, and we have Carmack's confirmation as proof.

Now if you want to talk about the Carmack's interview, why don't you tell everyone here as well what he said about the superiority of the Xbox 360's technical hardware over the PS3's. Sure, it uses DVD9's which are much smaller in capacity when compared to the BD discs, but tell me, are you really that lazy to get your butt off the couch to swap a disc? And no, disc-swapping will not happen in the middle of the game's action sequences. Disc swaps are ALWAYS well masked to ensure that they do not spoil the fun. You will know this if you played games from the PS1 era.

While I agree that MGS4 is leaps and bounds over anything on the 360, I will not agree with your comment about 360 exclusives being a generation backwards from other PS3 exclusives. Look at Gears, look at Mass Effect. Are they so last gen to you? MGS4 and Uncharted are great games in their own respect, but would you deny that the 360 has some great games as well?

You make yourself look nothing more than a fanboy by giving comments skewed towards the benefit of nothing more than the good name of PLAYSTATION 3. Lightning69 is no better. You both love your consoles so much that you do not see the greener patch of grass on each other's side.

Just give up the fanboyism and get both consoles. If you can't afford to do so, look at things without being biased.

It's a given that the 360 does have more upcoming JRPGs than the PS3 but why is it that you take that as an excuse to open up a thread and make comments which may anger PS3 owners?

Did you really expect the PS3 owners to come in here, read this thread and go "oh, PS3 sux nao and I regretz buying it!"? That's not going to happen, buddy. Everyone bought their systems for a reason and they will most definitely value their purchase.

Consoles Couch is neutral ground, where all console and handheld gamers gather to talk about games and accessories. It's been peaceful in here without the flame wars for a long time, why spoil that peace?
