i still feel its weird why there is the condition the photo must not less than 50 kb....

mayb they need large dimension pic of u face?
look more clear, more hansem?
and easy for them to resize too...
make it 600 x 600... should be ok

So that your picture wont look so blur and when print your gamer tag can see your hansem face more clearly ma

Anyway i've seen more WGT08 ads and coverages than the so-called international event, WCG08. I'm feeling WGT08 will be a better and greater event. Can't wait for the day to come!

Just wondering, does anyone know of any venue through which World GameMaster Tournament 2008 computers can be bought?
Heard sometime ago that after competitions...computers are actually "gotten rid of" through reselling...
Wondering if it true?

can anyone enlighten me about this? Coz if they do sell...that its a good way to actually get a new comp...

The PC Sponsor is C-Zone. It's a PC Shop at Lowyat. You can ask them. I think the organizer will return most of the PC to them after giving out a few to the winners.

Was hoping to a snag a tourney comp to replace my aging PC...i guess that's dashed now...
Do you happen to know what kinda specs is set up for this year?
Then maybe i can get some estimates as to what a new comp will set me back by...
But if C-Zone are sponsors, i think it might be possible to go get a quote from them...
Dun suppose there's any way to get it on the cheap...

It doesn't matter la. that programmer really no brain 1 what I can say is. They forcing ppl only can use gif or jpeg only somemore. Do you know what resolution I need to put in order to >50kb using such a low byte usage format? You wan print nice nice then tell ppl what's the dpi for ur printer and what size it will be printed out la. ppl can easily convert it back to pixel and make 1 nice nice 1 for you. Now it makes me upload the full picture taken from my pda without ever need to modify it.(else it will <50kb)

Thank u for your suggestion will look into it. We are just implementing a standardize format so that it will be easier for both gamers to upload, accomadate our server space as too large and 500 gamers makes it laggy also when we print n sort out 500 gamers:) sorry for my nubness

Simply... i used ACDSee Photo Editor... damn easy... can crop...can resize...according to pixel or size dimension... just click click... 1 minute...settle... no need so susah susah...\

Photo size... 50kb to 100kb... i find it reasonable...

Less than 50kb, photo later print look like shrek and not some lengchai fella
More than 100kb, later organizer's server all overload with all ur lengchai photos until... server overload...

It's a very reasonable and smart move by them to implement this... fair fair for all la... kenot 1 side win ma... both side must win win... fair ler...

oh! so you are involved in the website eh? glad to hear that! anyway, it's easy only to make the printer print out nicely nicely provided u have knowledge of image rendering. even for a suggestion to you is that you should make it everything toward server side, functions like auto croping(under the same ratio of the pic height and width so that it looks nicely, not like stretching ppl face until fat fat or thin thin) or auto resizing into the desire size you wanted can be easily done using php(since I see the server running using php).

Youqi you damn stressed ah nowadays? So easily get frustrated wan haha...give suggestions also give properly la...no need say ppl no brain 1 mar...u as famous FIFA online league programmer should be a good role model to other FIFA gamers...post professionally in the forum!

Haha why don't you ask them if they wanna recruit another geng programmer to handle the website?

lol! I should really apologize to the programmer 1st just now really lost my temper la, I can't deny it! I wasted 15min just to calculate what resolution to use for a gif to small enough but at the same time big enough to top the 50kb capacity! end up lazy to edit the image and just submit the whole picture I taken down directly from my digi cam. a 640x480 only used 86kb!

Why must use that photo only? Don't have other photos meh? So nerd until didn't take high resolutions photos wan meh? Aiya can just crop out your face from the photo we took during WCG08 what. The photo is already so high resolution then if you crop yourself out, i believe it's also more than 50kb jpeg file liao lolx
