Jazzy, the Indeed valve buffer amp does not ship to Malaysia. Too bad.
"We will ship worldwide EXCEPT Nigeria, Italy, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Macau" |

xtorm, when is the latest shipment going to come in? My hands are getting real itchy.
BTW, should I get a new soldering iron or should I just 'revive' my 15 year old Antex? What type of solder do you use? Audiophile grade solder (if there's such a thing) that makes the sound more 'definitive'? Where do you get the SMPS? This post has been edited by grandspy: Sep 23 2008, 10:22 PM |

QUOTE(ongbs @ Sep 23 2008, 10:34 PM) I think such a high grade solder leads do exist, just not sure will we able to find locally. Expect a "bomb" for its cost Anybody wanna try it? QUOTE(xtorm @ Sep 23 2008, 10:58 PM) Ah.. smashing!!! Next Monday eh? I hope to get it all done before Raya. I did a quick browse thru the RS catalogue. Those smps are expensive! I hope JP does have a cheaper alternative. |

arrgghh... I should've known that most shops in Jalan Pasar are close on Sunday. I didn't manage to get all the ingredients to cook my amp. Nevertheless, I succeed in bringing back a 12V SMPS. It looks very much like Jazzy's. Is it the same?
Question : When you use the T-amp to bi-amp the speakers, do you split the input into two - one for each amp? And do you employ 2 SMPSs? ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by grandspy: Sep 29 2008, 12:27 AM |

QUOTE(bsl555 @ Oct 11 2008, 01:43 PM) Use a passive pre (volume pot only) if you all want to test out the actual potential. An active preamp will only color up the sound to some extent and not reveal its true potential (after whatever mods you all may have done). I'll let you all know if I can make it. Thank you for your kind invitation. 10-4. Yes, I was thinking to use just a volume pot for the passive pre-amp (very similar to what Metalmania built). *sigh* it will take me another month or so till my T-amp can really come to life. QUOTE(ongbs @ Oct 12 2008, 06:31 PM) What's that?? |
