smp as in smps

giving 18v? wow...unregulated 240vac to 12vdc power supply are normal for such voltage but not smps, even regulated converter are at most 13v...faulty unit probably..

hmm, so 470uf is good, jazzy case is different, adding to total of 690uf give more highs and low? hmmm...

btw another thing you guys can try is 10uf cap with a 1uf as input cap, im runing active so it will not show any difference on mine, maybe bro jazzy try it out? supposingly the 1uf will aid with high over the 10uf...theorylah from newbie tongue.gif

you mean dead chip? haha mine terribly beef up, and the chip has been treated with solder few times caused i link up all the pin with lead when i try to solder a thin wire to the pin tongue.gif

latest mod to my t-amp. from previous post i said that the y.c. caps sounded very bright, too bright. did more mod today and found that the following config. sounded GREAT! input - 2.2uf + 10uf +10uf (each ch.) power caps - 1000uf or 450uf. with 1000uf hi is more. with 450uf sq is more natural and warm. y.c. words - more body. all the hi, mid and low is now FANTASTIC. do not know how to describe but my jaw went wide open and WOW!  rclxm9.gif in fact with more run in i think it will be even better. i think this will be my final mod as i will be sticking to this config unless i decide to replace the smd. also this t-amp is one hell of an amp. so versatile. with this mod this amp is now suitable for a variety of music. i played pop, rock, jazz, and they all sounded great - to me tht is.  thumbup.gif

more high with 1000uf hmm i tot Y.C. reports differently. wow 22.2uf the freq will be bellow 1 hz....must bring your baby to the tt when we have it.

Y.C. nice review, the caps not only block dc voltage, since the cap is in the signal path it filter the high as well just like crossover.

so when is the tt guys?

but one thing i use to do when im pairing speaker and amp is pair those from the same region tongue.gif easiest way, after tht slowly get wat i need.

i agreed tht if i break t-amp i wont cry over night, if i break a 1k intergrated, might not cry but feel really bad for burning money tongue.gif

tonigh im staying at my own house, just got those tannoy of the wall, open it up and wash it tongue.gif plastic mah, gona use it as pc speaker, full range speaker. the driver is by goodmans.

ok the letter is from KLIA kastam, either i go myself or appoint poslaju to declare the stock, poslaju cost rm49.50 which i think is fair enough considering time travel there and tol and petrol...

didnt mention abt the amount need to pay for tax, so do i pay poslaju rm49.50 all settle? or there is more cost to it if i dont go myself
