grandspy, we are talking abt ta2024, there is also ta2020 and ta2022, mostly focus on ta2024 and 2020 as these are cost effective...

ta2020 being slightly higher wattage and ta2022 max out at 90w rms

hmm mayb ta2020 rather then 2024 now...

huh 0.23uf? try measuring the 0.47uf with the same meter, see how far are they off...
jazzy you mention the input filter cap is 0.100nf?

the total smd change out cost around rm30++ worth it you think jazzy?

the only espensive and make most changes will be the input cap i guess...

Y.C. was busy with my gf grandma stuff...smile.gif my total online hours for 3 days is less then me online for a day...hahahaha.

MKT 1822 is good huh? mayb i can get for my spare boards...duno how they compare to elna cerafine which is polarise, opsss...now i remember..i have yet to test out the no input cap thing biggrin.gif
and wow Y.C. you got good memories...

justblair, our board are with 2 rail as in evaluation board by tripath.

mysghooi, is tht a key holder box? tongue.gif but nice, cut the cover of the input cap open and desolder the polarised cap, i think tht will help with harshness abit, but you will loos some bass, best change the input cap smile.gif

ongbs, so hows the mod going on? me waiting for jazzy report biggrin.gif no time to do mine yet, but should be positive feedback from him

I just found out from TA2024 datasheet, the Co caps to be 0.22uF for 8ohms load.. so the SMDs values was correct! tongue.gif
The 0.47uF is for 4 Ohms loads.. doh.gif

Minor mod coming up.. tongue.gif

haha ongbs, i solder a bunch of leg togather when i did the power line thing...tongue.gif spend hours to clean it up then i remember something i saw in the net, i put more lead in and suck it up, voila, few try all clean and nice. yea dont burn the chip and most probaly we can save it, its pretty straight forward amp..

btw guys, use low power solder, 20-25w is ideal...but i guess you guys knows abt tht.
