3G Baseband Downgrade GUI

If your iPhone was manufactured before September (2008), you are 5.08. If you're, you are 5.09 (that can’t be downgraded).

This tool will help you to downgrade your iPhone 3G Baseband, from 02.30.03 to 02.28.00 and proceed intalling yellowsn0w to unlock. Launch the app and click Go.



If you have bootloader 5.9, this should not cause any harm. It should simply fail. You will then have to reboot your iPhone and should be back up to where you were before running the tool.

Check the info on SwirlyMMS2 and the screenshot via Cydia.

The current infos are:

1) Builtin voice recorder allowing you to easily record and send audio clips via MMS.
2) Save a received audio clip as iPhone ringtone.
3) Customize the MMS alert - receive, sent, error, delivery
4) Reply to a received MMS with a normal text SMS
5) Keep an eye on when your friends received your MMS with coloerd check (Grey and Green)
6) Attach your signature on each outgoing MMS and also include your current GPS location and open a received GPD position in google maps
7) Save MMS as drafts for later editing and sending.

You will need to purchase Mobile Log USD 7.99. MobileLog - manage incoming and outgoing calls and SMS.

Winterboard Lite: A new extension of the MS that improves the performance of Winterboard.

David Ashman and Saurik developed Winterboard Lite, an optimized version of the well-known application that we use to change themes on our iPhone. In particular, once installed, it reduces the memory when some features are not used.

a) Turn off UIIMages loading if no themes uses UIIMages
b) Similarly, if you do not use themes that alter the UISuund, or the sound system, Winterboard Lite will disable this option
c) Finally, it is automatically turned to the support location, unless Info.plist for a includes the key "Localized" with value "true".

Sleepers.net Announces Alternative to Cydia

Sleepers.net has announced Kryptes, an alternative package handler to Cydia for jailbroken iPhones.

Kryptes is a new, lightweight, package handler that was designed with the end user in mind. We are very excited to announce its release and hope the community appreciates all the hard work that we have put into this. We do understand that there are going to be several questions the Community might have for us, so we will try to answer most of them in this post.

Q: Are you trying to compete with Cydia and Installer?
A: No, we have tried to reach out to both of the developers for each one of these handlers several times. We have been continually shot down when we asked if we could become a default repository/source. IT was as if we did not exist, when we feel we have given much to the community.

Q: So why did you produce a Application, when there are already 2 prominent applications that exist that are similiar to Kryptes?
A: We have over 600 developers in our repository, we felt to give them the most exposure in the Community we were left with no choice, but to build our own Package Handler. If we would have been accepted as a default repository with the other Package Handlers the build of Kryptes would not have happened.

You can install Kryptes by adding the Sleepers.net repo to Cydia and install the "A Alternative to Cydia and Installer" package.

Saurik eliminates Sleepers from Cydia. User must enter the address manually, since it will no longer be listed by search. The reasons are found in poor quality of the repository itself.

Winterboard Lite 0.9.2796-5 - Update
a) The first is the removal of support for custom fonts.
b) The second change is a labeled "Memory Saver" that will allow us to enable or disable the display of UIImages, UISounds and Fonts.

Ready version of Cydia for firmware 3.0

Saurik has just finished the Bundle of Cydia for QuickPwn, working on Firmware 3.0. From this point on will add the backwards compatibility with the other major package and the various extensions, known as Mobile Substrate.

We knew about back a month ago and it's available on Pwnagetool/Quickpwn & "yellowsn0w" 3G Unlock and so far, none did the downgrade yet.

SBSettings recently had an update to version 2.99. The update bring some significant changes to the application.

In the Extras and Options, the ability to turn off/on the numeric wifi, numeric GSM (ph one strength), numeric battery, to add the date to the status bar and the ability to enable/disable SBSettings on the lock screen and during a call.

Changes for 2.x firmware:
• Added ability to move toggle order around.
• More app: Added mobile substrate extensions manager. You can now troubleshoot a poorly performing device by disabling and enabling various installed mobile substrate extensions. (Requires respring after toggling).
• More app: Added numeric wifi, numeric GMS (phone) to extras menu.
• More app: Added statusbar date toggle button in extras menu to enable or disable statusbar date.
• Reworked how root requiring toggles work. As such, we can now system out to processes as root. This enables Safari download and other toggles! (Expect them soon).
•You can now select from several options to customize the behaviors of SBSettings:
• Enable or disable the U/I from lock screen
• Enable or disable the U/I during calls
• Enable or disable the date in status bar.
• Enable or disable the memory free in status bar.
• Enable or disable numeric battery, wifi, or GSM (phone strength).
• Revamped the U/I on the more - extras screen.
