As miuk said, depends on individual.
I wear my full suit most of the time cause I not much fat to protect me from cold and I get sejuk very easily. However, at times, I also do dive with just a rash guard over my bikini.

One more reason I prefer full suit is because I got stung my jellyfishes before and it's not a fun thing to experience. Some corals may also look harmless but do give you a burning sensation andden a rash afterwards.

Most of the guy divers I know go in rashguard with boardshorts cause it's easier to wear I guess.
I know some fat divers just go in their boardshorts also got.

Guys is it possible to arrange a dive trip around 600 for 2 days of dives in Semenanjung with accomodation?

lol, dive and fly? hebat....drive la...toll and petrol per car around RM250-300 only. and go all the way, 3 dives only meh?? at least 5-6 lah.

Tioman should be the cheapest, and if car is full with 4 ppl, around RM70 per person. ferry to Tioman is RM70. lodging 2 nights RM60-80. eat RM50-60. already about RM250-280. the rest is diving cost. if you getting like 5-6 dives one go, i think can get RM60-70 each dives, so RM600 is possible, but why wanna go so low cost?

spend a little more, and enjoy a LOT more!!

I gotta agree with that, I had a near contact with jellyfish...... almost got stung. Would go with full wet suits for protection's sake, well... bf was bitten by a triggerfish during our most recent dive

But he was totally unharmed (not to mention unaware, fella didn't even know he got bitten  ) all thanks to a full wetsuit.

Btw guys, sorry to jump in in the middle, but I'd like to know how to pee underwater........ >.< had this problem since my first dive, and I hate holding a bladder full of kencing when I'm in the midst of enjoying my dive. Bf did told me (jokingly) to try peeing while standing, on land it's ok but I fail badly underwater.

Sorry, I know that this sounds disgusting but I just had to ask. Anyone face similar problems? Help?

that's why i think doing Tioman still better...and food is cheap as well, and not to mention booze

i have my own equipments, so forgot to add equipment charges! only 5 hours drive away from KL though, making Tioman the easiest dive spots from KL (and Singapore as well).

you can probably get a one for for around RM250 (and that would be good enough for most stuffs). i got a UK C4 which has 2 bulbs, and i got it like ages ago from hobi sports, which has now closed down. got it cheap at RM180. nowadays, they come out LED, and i think that's much better, although pricier. spend a little more and get a bigger torch, rather than those small ones.
yeah, Zeagle Scout is pretty good and light, but what's your budget? many choices when your budget touches RM2k. if travelling light is your main option, get the new Aqualung Zuma. i think it's a fantastic BCD.

i got mine from US with a ballistic nylon and horseshoe wing with 20kg lift. overkill actually, and pretty heavy to boot. paid RM1.6k after discount of 60% plus shipping though. was in Penang at that time, and all they have was Mares, so didn't know KL had to many choice. when i came down to KL and see, for RM1.6k, i might have gotten a backplate and wing combo. mine is still rear inflated, but soft pack with gel at lower back, which is why is god damn heavy. dry weight i think about 2-3kg liao.

i would say, spend for BCD and reg. these 2 are the closest things you have to depend on your life when underwater. budget of RM2k each would be great, but more on reg, less on BCD. a good BCD hardly spoils and no need service, unless you knock it like crazy. Reg service min every 2 years or 50 dives?

which dive centre offers RM60?

Erm.... does Pangkor get monsoon?? How's the condition in Nov??

Try Lumut. I heard there's a few dive centers there and diving quite okay there.

I've heard of going to Lumut for diving, but not Pangkor.

Anyone has recommendation for NAUI open water course ? If possible in Chinese language..

Been researching... in terms of open water , NAUI is the cheapest followed by  SSI and PADI being the premium..

Probably for open water, we don't really have to invest that much.. only when it's advanced level, choosing the right tutor should be more crucial..

Pulau Sembilan dive is run by Quiver Dive Team... you should check out the groupon. they do offer some interesting deals once in a while...

i think they should be active at Pulau Sembilan now that the East coast is coming to an end.
