Hello, just asking all the pro here.
Usually which side should we wear the snorkel ?
Right or Left ?

Or just personal preference ?

Pros dont wear snorkel thumbup.gif

But on a serious note, think about it....
Your regulator is coming from your right, logically to avoid messing with the hoses, u shud wear it on the left

i believe you can organize with the dive centre, your money will dictate the boat times!

we stayed at Sphere divers mabul and they kindly arranged their boat to get us back to semporna in time for the flight and all.

haha.. yup pros dont wear snorkel... when I was in Perhentian last july, our boat drifted away around 500m from the actual drop point.. and the boat engine suddenly not functioning.. so I have to swim to the drop point.. luckily I have snorkel attached... or else I will drink too much salt water.. sometimes snorkel can be annoying if it wrongly positioned.

Ya its too dry.. And I will waste the air on the surface. 500m on the surface is quite far and challenging too.

I plan to bring my Samsung G3 down the water for some picture-snapping. Do I have to get any specialised housing for underwater photography or just normal waterproof case will do?

I used to find breathing regulator air very dry, until someone told me to put my tongue into the mouth piece while breathing. This reduces my consumed air by a lot and also my throat don't feel so dry after I'm done diving. smile.gif I still prefer to use regulator even on surface, I just absolutely hate the snorkel, somehow don't feel secure with it, will still feel water will go in and trap it. tongue.gif

Do take note that when you go deeper into the water, there is higher pressure. You can't just wrap your phone in a plastic bag or even a Dicapac to go 15-20m deep. Check your 'normal waterproof case' to see how deep it can go. Dicapac can go 10m if not mistaken, anything deeper than that and you'll risk flooding your phone. Those waterproof bags are usually to keep your gadgets dry from rain and slight contact with water when at the beach, not for diving.

Yup, basically like blocking the air supply. Of course don't press on it too hard la, just somewhat rest the tongue there. laugh.gif
