Hi arng, I let it grew as tall as possible. The trunk below will get fat according to how tall the tree grow. After that u cut off the top n it will grow more shoots hence growing the fat trunk... That's my sharing

Just the update of my Taiwan cherry, I now put it under the direct sun... Seems that the leaves are brighter if I put it on a shade...

If bonsailelong still remember, this the juniper that I bought with his advice a few months ago, always waiting for the right moment for that inspiration to give it an initial style, and its today. Cascading style, it is ok?

Went to min hoe yuen last week and bought a shimpaku for my new bonsai project, it seems that it have been neglect long enough and I really need to revive the tree to its top health then only try to style it. But it's already an old tree..

Just a quick update of this mame bonsai project I did with a small clipping of my Taiwanese premna, it's almost been a year for this..

Selamat Hari Ray,

Got abit of Bonsai here today on the 2nd day of raya.

Bought a pot in Min Ho Yuen last 2 weeks, and today i'm into a cascading style for a tamarind.



And this tamarind i got it around april.



Finally , i wired it up and bend to style..



WOuld want to leave for a while until the ramification is enough.

After about 1 year of bonsai, at last i now have a pretty close to decent display of bonsai ....


Feeling happy to have this hobby, and all the friends i met here.

Bonsailelong, if you are kind enough to show us a guide line to wiring a branch and its ramifications ?

As i have been thinking to repot my black pine last week, i have some conversation with Master Chiang on the subject.

He not only advise me how to do it, but help me along the way on my styling of the black pine.
We decided on a cascading style and the sketch below is from Master Chiang himself,




As i followed his instruction, i bought a pot at Ho Min Yuen and started on the job.




Now would be time to shorten the branches and after a month , i will cut the weakest branch.

Yup the black pines are still there, I think there's about 6 to 7 trees left.. Just went last 2 weeks.

It's in Melaka, near econsave if you know where it is. It's called min ho yuen.

This is a big premna that I bought last 2 weeks. It's a uproot.
Really liked the apex and the branches. Not complete yet...

Mhy got many tamarind seedlings, about rm15 for a tree. I bought about 6 trees before. N now all in training.
