Thanks for the compliments bonsailelong. Still a long way to go. The assam saraf is nice but kind of vigorous. I wonder how to make it a bonsai if a tree doesn't stop budding? Same goes to mulberries. I'm still trying.

That's great offer bro! I'll arrange a day. The few plants that thrive at your place not working well under my care. The boxwood also didn't make it. Only the 2 fruit trees, mulberry & cherry going strong.
One question, I always wonder does morning & evening only sunlight make any difference to the plants? This post has been edited by Alvchin: May 2 2014, 11:20 AM |

Thanks for sharing, I suspected our blazing sunlight may be too much for some species.

There's a huge trident maple at San Fong if I'm not mistaken. It's at the back of the nursery. Has been many years there. Still saw it b4 cny.

Btw Bonsailelong, u mentioned that your mulberry is the black mulberry tree. Any ways to differentiate the white, red & black?

QUOTE(Bonsailelong @ May 21 2014, 08:34 AM) That's the problem. I'm still confused after reading. LolBut nvm, it's not important. Tot that since u know can share a bit. Was thinking maybe certain species more subceptible to diseases than the others. The one u gave me is supposedly black mulberry too? This post has been edited by Alvchin: May 22 2014, 08:07 PM |

Nice maples Brett! I've never seen a better looking one here. So u really put it into dormancy every year? But a member here had his maple for many years on the ground outdoor & it's still growing albeit very slowly.

Nice! Thx oc-gassa!
Brett, I've only owned 1 black pines until now & unfortunately it didn't work out. It lasted just a few months under my care. But Bonsailelong managed to keep some healthy ones & even propagated. |
