N82 is basically around RM1380 from known AP company, might be cheaper if from noob AP. You can still play with the phone without a SIM card in, just that you cannot call or text with it.

You are using Garmin on your N82 or it's a separate device?

Sometimes the N82 shows the wrong information. When it's 6 bars, after I reboot the phone, it drops to 4 bars. Not all the time, but just some times. Sometimes when I suspect something because only 1 bar is used for all day long, I reboot but it shows the same thing.

No such thing on my keypad. Depends on supplier I think. I did ask first before I buy, just in case. I don't want to end up like someone's phone with those vodafone branding and weird characters on the keypad. Just spoils the beauty of the phone.

By the way, if no one is wanting to join the LYN Flickr group, I think I will delete it by this weekend. Just noticed there is actually another group for the entire LYN members.

Mine is also 0566174. But I think mine is an Arab unit because the manuals stuff in the box are partly in Arab, and the Nokia Maps is loaded with Arab maps. But yet, not Arab character on the keypad. Perhaps they changed it, and that is what causes the squeaking sound on my keypad

How much does that thing cost? And if you just want the phone to stand for taking timed photo, you can just pull out the memory card slot and twist it a little to the side. It will then be able to balance up.

4 and a half hours is the talk time. Stand by up to 225 hours, that's what claimed by Nokia. Personally I charge once a day for a moderate use, quite a few pictures + Wifi + 15 minutes loudspeaker mp3 + fooling around with the phone. With lesser usage, it will last more than 1 and a half day. No worries at all if you can charge once a day (night time, unless you are camping whatsoever).

At least you will still be able to bring that phone back alive at the end of the day.

Unless you are taking timed photos frequently, I think it should be fine.

I charge when it goes to 2 bars. 3 bars sometimes when it's the beginning of the day. It's not cool to have the phone died when you are out or something.

Meaning you have to install a word database first, I guess. I'm using a third MSDict, "ahem". Not a bad one after all, just Google.

Don't think they are selling authorized set. Haven't heard of that company before and that shouldn't be that cheap.

Anyone know how should I clean the camera lens? Sometimes I forgot to close the cover and there's a little dust in it.

Nokmote and the like won't work on my N82. I can't start those apps after installing. No response no matter how many times I click on the icon.

You are using Nokmote? I should try once again I guess. Do you install it and start it right way or you need to install something else first to make it work?

You might want to Google it instead of asking them here. A closed N82 thread isn't pleasant.

Damn! I installed N95 Accelerometer plugin and it works like a charm now. Hurray

P/s: Playing bounce with nokmote requires a good deal of hand-eye coordination

I don't think Realplayer can play flv files.

Try zooming into it. You will see the map after zooming if you installed it correctly.

ShakeMe to keypad lock is cool. No more tiring softkey + *.

Yea, notice a sharp decline in battery juice. But I shall wait longer and see if I can live with this. Installed Phone Guardian at the same time, which is standby all the while to guard the phone from thieves or whatsoever. I guess I just should bear with the battery it will use since phone > battery.

Anyone else here uses Phone Guardian too?
