guys about the GPS if there is a voice saying to u is it called A-GPS? Must pay how much? Im quite confuse with this GPS thing actually. Interested to know more. can some kind soul brief me? Must we pay for the usage? or is it free ? Thanks smile.gif
*
No, A-GPS is not the navigation thing. A-GPS is a technology instead to pin point your location using your operator's tower. Along with the satellite, pin pointing your location will be faster and more accurate.

Why not? It works with Garmin.

QUOTE(kwws @ Sep 8 2008, 06:56 PM)
correction guys...i jus checked via a china website...nokia has abolish the 20 digit code system...they've replaced a new hologram...my bad...haha
this is the new sticker i've been talking about: http://europe.nokia.com/batterycheck
*
The hologram can be faked too if I'm not mistaken. Difficult to check these days, but as long as the battery is just as good, I wouldn't bother too much. Even if you know it's a fake one, you are going to have a drama at the place you bought the phone (provided yours is an AP unit).

I thought it says RM110 only? It's quite cheap, should I upgrade my card too? Just hate the hassle, all my install apps will be gone. Any idea how to change card but will not affect the phone? More than half of my 2GB is occupied with music, left 400MB for now.

1) Take out existing µSD. Use N82 "Remove Memory Card" option.
2) Plug in new µSD into N82 and format it. Ignore all apps errors at this moment.
3) Plug both µSD into PC and copy all files (including hidden & system files)
4) If you don't have two card readers, copy with care, don't open the folder/files in PC HDD, as it might create some unnecessary files like thumbs.db. Overwrite whatever in the formatted new card.
5) Plug the new µSD into N82, and all the apps should work as before.

some member here provided the guide
i juz saved it.. thumbup.gif
*
Anyway to make sure I don't miss out hidden and system files? Will the 8GB's price go down soon by any chance? I know RM110 is already freaking cheap, but who doesn't want to save? tongue.gif

i think i would just settle for the ori...370 bucks diff save hassle for possible problems with battery life like some of u stated...plus the seller oledi imported a set of n82 AP i think he'd not willing to do so again...

im insisted to buy from him cuz he's willing to trade in my SE P990i for 450 bucks...which is the highest offer i've receive so far
*
Worth spending if you have the money. Less worries, no need to scare dealer exchange your stuff and worry of meeting arrogant service centre technician.

im using the latest version GarminMobileXTforSymbianS603rdEdition_42020 what version you are using?
*
.sis file? I downloaded the auto installer via the Garmin site, plug in my card and it installs everything smoothly.

I'm thinking of installing Garmin again. Does Garmin affect battery life even when you are not using it? If I'm not mistaken Garmin will start something to run on the background even if you are not using it.

I installed Garmin 4.20.20, but it says no voice file will be included. I have totally clean up my previous Garmin install. Any idea how to add in those files in the new installation?

I'm installing using just the update file too (if I'm not mistaken). It wouldn't auto install, so I have to open the .sis file manually in the phone and it works. The only thing is there is no voice file. Will Nokia Map's voice file work on Garmin? Any idea how to make my Garmin talk? sweat.gif

1) Take out 2GB from N82
2) Plug in 8GB into N82
3) Use N82 to format it
4) Take out 8GB from N82
5) Plug 2GB into PC using USB reader.
6) Enable Windows Explorer to view all files (including hidden)
7) Copy all files from 2GB into a temporary folder in HDD
8) Safely remove USB device (2GB)
9) Plug in 8GB into PC using USB reader
10) Copy all files from temporary folder in HDD into 8GB (Overwrite all)
11) Safely remove USB device (8GB)
12) Plug 8GB into N82

Everything should work fine. If it doesn't, you can always revert back to the 2GB.

Take note, once you add/uninstall programs with the 8GB, the 2GB won't work well anymore as the files/programs are different already.

Make sure you select Remove Memory card properly in N82.

Please rate good. thanks  smile.gif

Might as well wait for the update for our region, not worth risking to brick the phone. Anyone else have problem with the PC Suite on Vista?

im usin the pc suite bundled wif the phone

I use the one that comes in the CD. It will never detect my phone. When I want to select the way I want to connect my phone (cable or bluetooth), it will never allow me to select, meaning it will not respond to my clicks on the selection menu. When I tried to uninstall it, it gives me some error thing and it cannot be removed. Really frustrating.
