the root caused of clear coat paint failure mostly by paint poor preps job & road side car wash (harsh chemicals)

the secret of handling the machine is

practice - cords behind yr shoulder, always starts at the minimum speed & gradually increase...the max is to speed 3 - 1200 will be sufficient for tropics climate like us - as our paint melts under the extreme equator lines....

Hey KC and rce46, thanks so much for sharing! However, looking at the pictures the cleaning is on the surface of the engine parts, how about further deeper? And, with those tools you use, is it sufficient to clean the thick dust that stayed there for so long?

Personally the end results looks good.

Had a very unexpected encounter today,

was washing my car and my aunt came over in her Kelisa. So Seeing it was filled with tear-stains and was really dirty, I thought I gave it a quick traditional hose-down-and-wash. Boy was I wrong. The tear-stains were so bad, that even the car wash felt like sandpaper on the surface.

Then I remembered that KC always advocates the OPC. I went in and grabbed my pre-mixed 1:3 solution and started spraying and cleaning panel by panel. And I tell you those stains just dissolved and was washed away with a gentle stream of water. Amazing stuff!

Last bit i went on was with the wheels. It was so caked up with brake dust. All it needed was a generous coat of OPC, a little agitation with my wheel brush and it just hosed of with no effort. All in all I took only about 40mins from washing a tear-stain etched car to a quick-waxed glossy metal.

I am not an official believer of OPC laugh.gif
I love OPC while used to clean mild stains, but this time it proves that it is equally easy to clean stubborn tear marks. thumbup.gif

Here's a my very-pathetic-picture-shot-by-a-lazy-bum pic. (i know.. i deserve to be shot tongue.gif )
Sorry no before pics as I was too busy on the task at hand. only until after I realized i shud have shot 1

Does anyone know where I can get a detailing job done at a reasonable price?? I don't really trust the guys outside like CARs and what not. I used to go to one shop but they closed.
