The year 2020 is quite different. You need to cater the "user intent", so that Google can rank you further up.

I think internal linking is imperative too. No one talks about the importance of on-site SEO particularly internal-linking.

If you want to get good results with SEO, link your old articles to new articles, not just the other way round.

I noticed that everyone is suggesting making great content, but the thing is with so much going on the Internet it's sometimes hard to get noticed. Another portion seems to be promoting your blog content.

Here's what I've experienced so far. Good content and a genuine intent to help is probably the best way to grow. I just started developing content for my personal blog and company blog and so far it seems to be the only way moving forward.

Any suggestions out there to do organic promotions? Or anyone out there that wants to do link-building? I'd be happy to include your links in my future posts / tweets drop me a message if this is something you want to do.

I`ve found a really great blog on SEO recently, they`ve got the stuff for biginner SEO specialists mostly. They also cover really great topics, like trhis:https://www.seoquake.com/blog/local-seo-checklist/ . It`s a smaller blog than your usual moz or neilpatel, but if you want to try something new I`ll say it`s totally worth it.

Title, description, tags, even the tags (keywords) you mention in the video.

Don't forget thumbnails too.

There are many factors that can help you rank on google. It is best to try and do as many as you can. You should use these SEO tools to help boost your site. Also, remember to make yourself aware of the ranking factors as they always are updated by google. Never underestimate the value of content and consistency, that's one of the major ranking factors. Google likes to see that your blog is posting regularly. Minimum once a week should be your target, try for a few times a week. But don't just post for the sake of posting, make sure you have good content. Your word count should be between 1000-3000 words.

If you are using WordPress, you most definitely need an image plugin like ShortPixel too. Speed is everything!

can someone enlighten me on SEO optimization? read tons of article, and all saying the same thing. i really don't know else to do to improve it.

for example, i'm writing a blog on sharing my experience in raising cats. isn't those keyword (cat, guide to raise cat, cat food, litter box) keep repeating, when you have abundance of article? but then, there's still no traffic organically, unless i go promote in forum or fb

Have you check the number of searches per month for those keywords?

You would need to do SEO again. You never really stop doing SEO as long as you're promoting your site.
Margene is correct. You need to do a 301 redirect from the free domain to your own domain so that you will not lose your page rank. Pages that have been indexed before will remain so. If you do a 301 redirect, then search engines will know to index the pages on your new domain and rank it accordingly. The traffic you on your free domain will be referred to the new one. This is as long as you do a 301 redirect. You can also use the link building service if you want to save time.

I'm not sure if this question goes here or not, but I may as well try asking here anyway.

Does anyone know how or why some articles that are written, say, about 2-3 years ago. Let's say the article's published date was and should be 12 August 2017. But when you open the same article today, the date says today's date. Any idea why that happened? Is it a glitch? If let's say you open the same article yesterday, it will still say yesterday's date instead of from 2-3 years ago. Same thing if you are to open the same article tomorrow, it will show tomorrow's date instead. Any idea why is it like that?
