True. But I always think of the entire loan cost, not just the monthly payment when taking a loan. But I personally tjink that Jazz is overpriced. laugh.gif
*
Yes true, for a 1.5 car, it's overprice city by almost 20k.... probably due to its non-ckd nature...

even if waja is manual.... the fc is quite terrible versus auto from toyota or honda (sub 2.0l) ...

You don't buy an above 1 tonne car and hope to get a better FC than a sub 1 tonne car. But does the amount of saving (from the FC) justify the higher monthly payment? You decide.  laugh.gif
Any kind of transmission + heavy right foot = High FC.  whistling.gif

BTW guys, I just replaced my extractor with an aftermarket one (without cat-con).  brows.gif
*
well... not sure about that... should take into account high fuel cost these days... hmm.gif

and to my surprise jazz is not as light as i previously thought.... weight different with waja (mt) is only about 95kg... blink.gif

I'm not very interested in engine transplant mod. Donno why..  laugh.gif

i think an engine transplant will negate the very reason why we buy a cps car in the first place... smile.gif

however, i would not pass the opportunity to supercharge my cps.... nod.gif

QUOTE(DaViDcHiN @ Sep 22 2008, 09:52 PM)
How's the performance of CPS? Is it more torquey than CamTakPro?

I tried CamTakPro Gen2, not torquey at all. Like no power 1....
*
I've driven my bro campro gen2 (AT) for quite a number of times (borrowed his car every time go for outstation). I've also driven myvi (AT) (my other bro). Now owning a cps (AT) myself, I'd say

1. Campro without cps is like "makan nasi without lauk". With campro you get to eat the plain nasi but with cps its tastier
2. When I drive the campro, I always wonder whether the fuel tank or the engine itself is leaking.... (draining fuel as if the fuel is very cheap)
3. AT shift is better with myvi compared to campro (heheheh but with cps its a hell lot of different)
4. Ask many cps owner in this forum, you'll find that campro cps is highly addictive... power, torque... you can't simply resist the temptation to press the pedal to the metal.... (funny though, since puasa I haven't even reach 140 km/h... patient my young padawan...wait till after raya.. ahahahah)
5. Cps is now the top of the line engine from Proton... so sometimes "ada sikit eksyen laaa"..... at least no more laughing stock from vtec and vvti dudes

Agree with you VerM......but for now my Waja CPS still kinda "tight". Gotta wait a few thousands km before feeling the "smooth" completely. Need to get use with the gated shift first....odo still 300 plus.
*
Odo still 300++ ... lucky you.... still plenty of mileage to go...

mine already 10k++ and its only just three month (exactly 3 months today... uwaaaa..... cry.gif )

QUOTE(radd @ Sep 26 2008, 01:39 PM)
sad story, my headlamp got penetrated by water on both side, left signal also. suspect due to very heavy rain in kk last 2 week. only realized that my HID not functioning after going back from tarawih. luckily i manage to arrive sandakan before dark, if not... already go to sc, they didnt have stock for xenon bulb, need to order. but nvm, im going back to kl tomorrow. after raya i will be working in pj, so i decide to order and service at semenanjung. i know this question already repeated for so many times, but anyone mind to tell me location of sc that someone said new, located inside petronas.. or any sc which offer good service?

1 year at sabah, would say life here is great. but even better if drivers here (especially sandakan) care to give signal when change lane, give some respect to motorcyclist, drive with brain, dont drive VERY SLOWLY at right lane. u can see by urself, very irritating.
1 more thing, people here love to drive big2 car but got small2 brain. drive like crazy, hit others then others will die. parking fail! hit my waja dont want to pay, then pakat with police that already known will biased to u. haiyyah.. hope i will never see again this thing in kl
*
ya bah... sabah is very nice, slow and easy pace... but not the drivers.. well not all of them anyway...
when i'm in kk i drive either waja or land cruiser ... but so far nda ada apa2 bad experience... ada la satu fews year back...almost hit a S320 while trying to drive out from Hyatt parking (i drove a very large and long old land cruiser which later i changed to a more manageable to drive model...).

one thing i know when dealing with sabahans... you've to at least tune to their slang... they will respect you even they know you are from semenanjung...

as for the sc, any sc would do ... but some will recommend certain places like Mutiara Damansara, Center of Service Excellent....

p/s:
1. a very classic example to know how certain sabahan drives is to look at how metro bus here in klang valley is driven... most of the drivers are from sabah.
2. Disclaimer: I am not saying all the drivers from sabah are bad.... just some of them... same thing happening here in KL... we see many reckless drivers and the amount of daily accidents is very high...

engine upgrade.
*
hmmm... I was told that upgrading existing campro to become cps is not possible. It is totally two different engine. Upgrade to IAFM is theoriticaly possible though. Unless you are planning for an engine swap. However changing to new cps engine would be similar to getting a new proton car with cps. The cost would not justify the change. I'm not sure for a used cps engine though....

But nothing is impossible for us malaysian .... biggrin.gif

Me too.  nod.gif
IMHO, its better to let reputable shop do the work. Less hassle, and not very expensive also (car's got promo for HSBC card holder, RM128 for polish and wax). If want to DIY, all the tools (you will need at least 3 sets of microfiber cloth, each for one process, and also 'clay') and compund (polish, wax, polymer sealent) will easily cost you RM100. Not to mention the time needed.

Once you've done all that, just need to maintain it. I've use turtle wax quick detailer for that.
*
I polished my cps late last month.... it cost me RM120 for the 3 layer polishing... the job was not perfect but the end result is marvelous...

QUOTE(spacepilot @ Sep 30 2008, 02:19 PM)
Its has been a while since I last visit this CPS thread and now I think its about time to list down all my car problem.
Half of this problem already exist before my 2nd. service ask them to fix but still same.

My car is less than 3months old and has clocked at least 8000km.

1.Sqeaking noise on front Left
2.Sqeaking/Rattling noise on front low right
3.Engine Valve cover oil seapage
4.Masterpump reservoir oil seapage
5.Power steering reservoir oil seapage
6.Brake sometimes low sometimes ok( I suspect air-trap)
7.Gear engage 1,2,3 and 4 is hard. (I think related to air-trap in clutch pump since sharing with masterpump reservoir)
8.Wiper arm on right hand side got noise(klok, klok)
9.Left Wing mirror once cannot fully unfold to open
10.Sometimes central lock cannot auto open after shutting off engine
11.Front left absorber noisy on rough road
12.Wind noise over 120km/h
13.Rattling noise on dashboard and found the noise source came from the dashboard lining near the steering
14.Rear right passenger door got noise and found the door bush loose
*
1. Mine is on the front right... ( especially at low speed... i can hear the noise when i wind down the window.)
2. Same thing happen with my cps
8. Sometimes but usually when I use the wiper at the highest interval
10. I agree with you... the central unlocking sometimes fail to auto unlock
12. Wind noise probably attributed to 'lubang angin' fail to close properly (whistling sound)
13. Mine rattles when the speed reach 100km/h.... I'm told here it is because of engine resonance at certain rpm range...

Anyhow, my cps is already due for third service and I plan to send it after raya to CoSE.... hoping that they can fix it....

I'm going back to Temerloh early tomorrow morning (6am) and Sabah on 4th (without my cps of course)...

I wish you all muslim readers Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir Batin and to the rest Happy Holidays...
