SUBANG JAYA: Councillors here urged the municipality to give SP Setia Bhd the green light to build a flyover ramp at the Setia Walk development in Puchong to ease traffic congestion.

“We have to take the initiative and send them a letter, telling them to start work on the ramp immediately,” said Subang Jaya Municipal Councillor (MPSJ) Tan Jo Hann.

He urged the council not to delay this any longer as the traffic snarl at the mixed development, which includes service apartments, retail shops and office blocks, is raising concerns in neighbouring areas.

Residents fear that more accidents will happen along the busy Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP) due to vehicles cutting into the development.

Residents had also previously pointed out that traffic on Persiaran Wawasan and the LDP junction during peak hours is unbearable.

Two months ago, developer SP Setia Bhd had had a meeting with residents to reiterate their commitment to building the 350-metre-long ramp.

SP Setia deputy president and chief operating officer Datuk Voon Tin Yow had promised residents that the ramp would be built if MPSJ’s traffic study showed the need for one.

The ramp has been proposed to take off from the service lanes along the LDP straight into the main entrance of the Setia Walk development.

“The developer has already given his word to build the ramp, and studies show we need it. I hope the council will speed up the process and get the ramp built,” said MPSJ councillor Ng Sze Han during MPSJ’s full board meeting last Friday.

MPSJ president Datuk Asmawi Kasbi said the council will contact the developer and get them to built the ramp as soon as possible.

One question on the accessibility... is there any lift from the basement carpark up to ground floor? The walkway looks like they are disabled-friendly (with ramps), so wondering if the basement carparks are as well..

Ya, i just looked at your photo again and saw the lift sign at the entry, so lift will be accessible from basements According to the FB page admin, about 85% GF has been leased out. But it's easy to forget that SW is huge, not easy for all 180+ retail lots to open at same time. I guess individual shops will have to install mist fans especially those F&B with outdoor sittings.

Swimming pool at L7

Ya... i think they are having hard time securing tenants. If you check the website the tenants list is fluctuating, now you see it now you don't. While I was there, I saw a few reno works going on, most which were already announced on FB i.e. F Block Boutique, jap restaurant (Sushi Tei?), one corner lot bistro, Starbucks, the pod (probably dining + apparel). Surprised that so few have started reno works, am expecting more actually. Entertainment mall looks 7788 completed, false ceiling inside already up. Didnt visit the galleria and talk to the team, hence no idea when it will be opening...

I believe Solace e-deck will be something similar to Vio, but since Solace e-deck was redesigned (omitted the original three garden units), who knows...

Each column to column is 8.4m, so i believe that will be app. the width of the pool. At any rate, I believe it's not as small as it appears in the photo.

Anyway, they still maintain the ugly colourful tiles at the open lounge, which I hope and believe will be different from Brio and Vio if you look at the models.

Not possible, it will be too small. Please see the plan I shared earlier, it's definitely >10 ft.

Nola, I believe the two pics show the same pool, which is the swimming pool. It's just that the angle of the photo and the pool is irregularly shaped (not rectangular, I believe) and it's only showing part of it. From the photo you can't tell either that each column to column width is 8.4m, but they are.

Gotta admit I don't like how Solace's e-deck models are done up, with the outdated tiles and decor.

Yup... first 2 pics are of Solace, but might changed slightly as in the pics you still can see the Garden Units which have been omitted and replaced with gym. The last 2 pics are those of Brio as I indicated there

The playground is located at the supposedly location of the garden unit (at the background of the first pic with the brown door). I believe the actual photo of the swimming pool posted is showing this part where the bikini figure is standing (the photo in the direction the figure is looking, with the glass panel to the left of her), so it might not be as small as it looked. Of course, it might not be to scale but angles can be deceptive too. Anyway, I think the 720 owners know what they are getting, be it good or otherwise.

Hehe.. i will close my eyes and wait till VP, then i will comment. Give it benefit of doubt till the keys are taken, and then.................
