Shops currently under reno when I was there in Feb:

1. Kenny Rogers Roasters
2. Sushi Tei
3. Roommates Bar
4. F Block Boutique
5. Starbucks
6. Muzeum Pub and Bistro
7. Beer House
8. Cafe Barbera
9. Dining pod (don't know which restaurant)
10. A few office tenants

Very few out of the total 180+ lots! Also, the most unpopular lots seem to be the ones facing bomba (hotel block) and also those facing LDP..

where to park if visit now. underground?
started collecting money for parking already?

Yeah, can park underground... still FOC. And if you want to walk around you just need to register with the security and they will give you a pass..

QUOTE(UFO-ET @ Feb 23 2012, 12:08 PM)
Just worry SPS might screw up Setia Walk, obviously the rental is too high, I dunno why SPS promise the shop owners a 10% yield, they shd hv discuss with shops owners again in order to lower the rental rate, Mid Valley is doing the right thing, pull in all the tenants with special package for the 1st year, make sure every shops are able to open at the same time, it is very crucial, crowd won't come in if most of the shops are not ready. Look at IOI Boulevard and Times Square 7-8 yrs ago, there mistake shdn't be repeated.
If commercial shops not doing well, Trigon will die too.  shakehead.gif

... and also there are some owners that prefer to look for their own tenants or for own use. I believe the CF delay due to the road complain caused many lost opportunities too.

QUOTE(sameday @ Feb 23 2012, 07:17 PM)
Anyone heard anything that the LRT station is not going to build in tesco opposite Setia Walk for now.. ??? I think it will affect a lot of vested people in setia walk, most buy for that pricing due to opposite LRT station, and not their buidling quality etc...just some rumors... anyone can find out ?

If you stay around puchong, u know next to IOI mall, they are clearing the land for the station,
at the other end, next to rakanmuda sports complex, they also clearing the land for station, except nothing happen near Tesco puchong, opposite Setia walk, and work already been started in both of this two station, but as it seems tesco is not going to be tear down..and nothing happening around that area, isn't it weird ? don't tell me that area is easier to build a station,  so really don't know what will happen now if the station is not there..
*
Latest exhibition on LRT extension a few weeks back still show the ST07 beside Tesco. Two stations omitted which are ST05 at Kinrara and one at Kg. Sri Aman. Therefore, I don't believe the credebility of the rumour. Furthermore, who says Tesco need to be abolished for ST07? It will be at the field beside it.

The distance between the station beside IOI to Tesco is less than 1.5km. If would not be logical; plus will also increase the travel time if there are stations so close to each others. Probably this is the reason of not building the one in Tesco.
The contractor have already started foundation work for the proposed station beside IOI. Have seen the soil investigation work started for the proposed station beside Tractor Malaysia.
*
The stations along Bukit Jalil Expressway also very near to each other. ST06 near IOI will serve the residents in Puchong Jaya, ST07 Tesco for PBP and ST08 for Bandar Puteri.

ST05 Kinrara cancelled because the residents protest.

Chief, wat's yr view on this?
I think it will stay. In the future this area will be the centre of Puchong, PFCC, Setia Wall & Future Sime Darby development on Tesco land. Prasarana want to do business right?
*
Yup... it really doesnt make sense to leave out the station in the HEART of Puchong. Unless Prasarana has identified that piece of land for development in line with their new strategy of increasing the value of selected prime lands near their stations, which I remembered i read in an article a few days back. My wishful thinking if you ask, is that there is no work yet at the station because they have a larger plan for it tongue.gif . There is no objection, no prob with land acquisition (it's currently a public field right?), so why leave it out?

The person who said ST07 wont be built couldnt care more to state the source, and since the latest LRT exhibition 2 weeks ago still showed the station unchanged, I will choose to beleive it will stay. Unless credible news came out.

with or without LRT i think only foreigner will raide it...

So u r suggesting no need LRT extension at all and it won't benefit local residents or help in property price appreciation in any way? All stations along BJE and LDP is not required?

This Sta7 is just one step away from reality.

MPSJ has to approve it, since MPSJ is not under the control of federal government ( it's under the PR controlled state government ), there is no need for MPSJ to cooperate with SPS. The SPS muscle is unlikely to have any effect over it. The MPSJ can refuse it under the name that it will destroy the piece of green park area next to TESCO and say that there are already quite many stations already ( honestlly speaking !) So this drama has not quite ended yet. Isn't it ?

brows.gif
*
Why would MPSJ do such a stupid thing when no one is protesting specifically this station? Look at ST03 and ST04 and I don see it any further apart from each other than ST06 and ST07, and the density is much higher along IOI Mall and Tesco. It's a no brainer indeed..

Beer Factory public trial 6 March... dunno if that means opening or not, but definitely you can go on that day. Kenny Rogers seem to be able any time now. A few others under reno and opening soon (around this month?) are Roommates Bar, Muzeum Pub & Bistro, Ponytail Salon, Starbucks, Sushi Tei, and others..
