did anyone read Star today?  One LRT station right at Setia Walk vicinity!  Good news for all SW owners.  I am betting the next block will have a successful launch.
*
great news indeed. IMHO, the LRT is the biggest game changer for SW. Those who bought the studio's must be quite excited now, and think they'll be the biggest gainers smile.gif

Btw, does anyone know how much the retail units in SW is going for now or isit fully sold out??

think if the proposed hotel does materialize in SW, it should be a plus for vested SW owners..........as long as the hotel is managed by reputable vendors and does not turn out to be a "ayam" hotel.....

When DPC Westside Towers is rumored to start at RM500psf, is SW overpriced? Tropics also RM300psf+ only wo.

DPC is in the world of its own.........wouldnt put it in the same league as SW or Tropics....

Frankly i think it's alright.. beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Some ppl like "homey" look, some ppl like modern office-like look.

Yes, it might be the most expensive launch in Puchong now, but who knows, when Naza launches its iconic Catalyst down the corner, there's potential for the price to go up.
*
certainly not ugly.........was just thinking for that kind of money it could be more iconic............ wink.gif

Now that we've looked at actual thing, the distance between shops is actually quite significant................... not sure how many ppl would shop under a hot day or rainy day..................

SW retail owners shouldnt be too greedy now...........its OK to bite lower rentals in the 1st 3 years then watch SW mall fly to be the next Sunway P or OneU.................... patience can be gold so long as greed is contained........... wink.gif

haih.............some ppl just dont get it ......... when have I ever said the retail component of SW wont make it? hmm.gif

As for residentials in SW...........how far it will go will be highly dependant on the retail component in SW............at least until LRT arrives............. a good indicator will be Tropics in PJ..........if u know what I mean.......... wink.gif

mercury mate,

Just ignore it....... no point arguing with a kid....... ppl can read n make their own judgement ........ wink.gif

But I like your statement......that a prop is like a child........sometimes they do wrong stuff..........u know its wrong.........but still we'll defend them anyways...........simply bcoz its your kid...........as their results often also a reflection of their parents...... tongue.gif

everything seems fine as at to-date, just curious wat would make this project (shops) fails? If it really fail, then I need to "brain storming' myself again, what are the "KEY" elements for successful shopping mall...
*
My take :

1. Supermarket / Hypermarket
2. Cinema
3. Good F&B options.......

The list of confirmed tenants looks good...........but Im worried that numbers arent sufficient.............if less than 50 shops opened during opening month .........n combined with extensive economic slowdown.......it wont look pretty mates.
