To be good in oc,you need skill + money.This two is the key of it
If want to do good in low clock challenge,you need ram which is d9gmh/d9gkx base,processor which can do high fsb and board which can do high fsb which mean money as well
But i do believe,there are people who can use lower end hardware and keep up with big boy

No hard feelings though, but i did approach DarkScythe once about pinning a thread for POC ( Penang Overclockers Club) and he did tell me, that POC has not done anything significant for the thread to pinned or posted up. But that was history anyways. Well its the fact that KOC is dominant here coz you guys are good in OC



This i Agree. I think in a team we share equipment and work on OCing Coz i am doing it too at the moment. Also yes, its not about the money, but getting the right hardware, but the right hardware do cost a bomb and tweaking it.. yes i overlooked that part

Well, i dont have bad blood or anything, i think its fair that i voice out an opinion and in good ways improve our forum too. Also it would be great help if LYN does post up up n coming competitions so that the local benchers (Newbies like me) would know of. Not just the "in" people

After the AOCC2008 ended... other contestants from other countries could proudly steal the camera and tell that they're from which country and which forum while doing some "show" to the crowd and video. I recorded some of it actually, especially that dude from Sweden chilling his mouth with the LN2

its not about getting good hardware or passing on a chance...

u guys totally miss the point of extreme overclocking. it's not about who got more money or who can get better parts.. or what not. it's about slowly building a reputation and getting the right contacts and knowing the right people.

like i said. winning is a bonus. but the fact u are able to extreme oc means u have a certain skill the manufacturers want. to them u are a marketing tool. make it happen! it's not about winning some competition or what... it's about building yourself! your contacts and all! thats why i say its not about getting the right parts or having more money! it's about knowing the right people and then proposing to them how YOU can be of service to THEM! how u can help them and what THEY can earn. once they see how much they can earn if they support u in small ways. the big ways will soon come.

the first thing u can do to prove it is beat my 3dmark06 score in the lyn database 24k only piece of cake.

it's a very outdated score of course. but beat that first then we'll go on...

haha well yea subzero equipment for starters u need to invest. one cpu pot and one gpu pot. there after u can even get ur sponsors to pay

i dont have good cpus. very sway with them but sometimes loan from manufacturers and all! so it can happen man! just need to make that initial investment! haha~

I am not that into 3d bench,a cpu pot will do fine for me
