Do I need to get a new sim card to actually receive the 3G connection instead of Edge on my Iphone 3G?

all new sim cards should be 3G compatible.
128k sim and above if i'm not mistaken.

No wonder i cant get the signal, mine is 64k ...
gonna upgrade it later...

My card is 64k. Been using 3G since they were testing the signal. No problems here.

after i dl the digi ipcc file.. when i try to use tethering, my tethering menu disappear on my iphone.. may i kno wat happen? it's due to the ipcc file i dl? i try to on n off again my iphone.. the tethering menu oso didn't show anymore.. any1 can help? thx

I'm also facing similar problems. I used the ipcc file on the first page, and despite Digi saying I should have tethering, the option isn't there. Resetting my phone didn't help.

oh no.. so hw to solve d probs ler.. i dun wanna restore.. aiks.. neway.. i gt my tethering menu appear back when i save another ipcc file (without any telco logo).. thn again i change bek to the ipcc file (with logo on).. nw i dun dare to use the tethering.. cz i know once i use.. the menu will disappear again as i read from somewhere on the net.. the ipcc file is lock to the telco.. once we trigger or amend it, the menu will disappear..

btw, any1 kno hw to get back the original ipcc file?? i can't use update 2 get the ori ipcc file as my version is the current 1..

Which ipcc file did you use that gave you back tethering? I'd rather have tethering than the telco logo.

the ipcc file tat i use back can get bek the tethering menu.. bt i nt sure whether once u use tethering, the menu will disappear or nt.. cz i neva try.. afraid disappear again.. ahha.. so nw gotta ask around to get bek the ori ipcc file or either wait for the next update to get bek the ori ipcc file.. sigh..

My story.

I bought the Maxis set but using the DiGi prepaid, so far so good until i click on the "update settings" button when iTunes prompted me for an carrier settings update. There is no way to change the APN settings (hidden for DiGi ipcc) and I was being charged for RM5 per day when my phone was out from my home WiFi network. (Some apps are constantly trying to connect to the internet...)

I used the backup I have created before updating the carrier settings to restore the iPhone back to the previous state. It works. It won't connect to the cellular data network anymore. I think the APN settings has been reverted back to Maxis one although the Carrier info still display as "DiGi 5.0". However, that could not ease my mind because there is no way for me to find out what is my current APN settings, and i could not change the mms settings too, hence I tried to install XCool's version of ipcc file since XCool's version allows changing of cellular data APN, mms APN and mmsc server settings.

It works well using XCool's version. I just edit and leave the cellular data APN fields empty.

i had installed "MMS & Tethering Setting" from xSellize CYDIA... the Cellular Data Network at last, can be found in NETWORK~ Yahoooo~ Hopefully can help those DIGI prepaid users which accidentally upgrade to DIGI IPCC... Now im back to set it whenever i wan.. no need to waste my rm5 per day.. phewww~ *swt*

my internet teathering also disappeared after i enable it. Does the ipcc 3.1 works for 3.1.3 ? Im using maxis ori set. I tried to update it, the itune give me invalid file error message.

work great on maxis set 3.1.3 ipcc 3.1, using digi all option are enabled! thanks!

are this custom logo can apply to unjailbreak iphone?

why after download the digi ipcc 3.1 i put the file on desktop, use itunes to locate to update the ipcc, itunes cannot locate.
