Is Hotel 'Seri Costa' or 'Mimosa' hotel located nearby to the historical or town area?

Let say I wanna stay near the town area which I believe I can my own city tour (walking) and visit the historical area. Which hotel is suitable n recommended?

I've tried to check on Aldy hotel but unfortunately on the specific date the room are not available. My hotel budget per night is below 200.

reading all this post make me wanna go Malacca la this weekend!! Is it still terrible jammed now on weekend?

Hehehe.. if jammed let say I wanna stay at Jonker area... err..got parking ka ?

I booked a Guest House already! Gonna spend the whole day jalan2 within the Jonker area.. summore that Ringo Classics and Antiques look fun to hangout at nite..

Just came back from Malacca trip! We all stayed at 'Tang House' a very-very-very nice budget family run business fronting the big mamee stages! But what faktup is that I kena 'pickpocket' at Jonker Street! Lost my small new Sony cybershot.. Blarrdy hell!!

But the chinatown is nice, lotsa place to visit expecially if u like site seeing, try different food (nyonya stuff, sate celup, cendol, chicken rice ball etc).

Malacca is nice la.. The Jonker Street is very nice! The assam shop next to newtow food court very nice la.. forgot the name btw
