QUOTE(FalleN @ Dec 20 2008, 12:26 PM)
i'm also looking for places to have nice a decent steak in melaka.. planning to celebrate bday for my gf.. its a 21st bday.. so hopefully can get to dine in a fine restaurant.

any recommendation? i read about the italian food located in a hotel which have gud environment and beach view in the earlier pages. i'm quite interested... maybe gonna check the places 1st.

besides that any other recommendation? i've been to nadeje many times, i like the environment there.. but there are too little choices for food.
Anyone tried dining in Taro before?  i heard it has a large variety of steaks rite? how was it?
*
Im suprised nobody suggested Wok and Pan. You should try tht place for western food. but its non halal..they serve pork chops and pork ribs. Its just opposite nadeje at plaza melaka raya.

IMO, jonker cendol is very overrated, for nice, thick and creamy cendol, go to Makko restaurant along melaka raya, few shops away from friends cafe.

oh, dont goto Taro..food isnt nice. place is nice. but its closed down already as i type this.

there very few clubs in melaka...theres Pure, the most well known, and Arena, a new club.

Instead of clubbing why not just chill by the riverside..nothing special abt the clubs there..

bro can u tel me where is Pure located? maybe some land mark buildings nearby?

Added on September 16, 2009, 4:42 amnvm, got it smile.gif beside Plaza Melaka Raya rite?

how bout chicken rice balls? where do they serve the best one?
*
yeah u can go upstairs of Pure if u want a live band smile.gif

IMO, the best Chicken rice ball in melaka is located in Melaka Raya. It is opposite a stationery shop and a Bank (forgot what bank). If im not mistaken its called Heng Kee...

I wouldnt suggest Formosa..the rice balls there are dry and hard.

You really from Malacca? Simply fish has been around for quite sometime. I'd say more than 5 years, its opposite Maybank in melaka raya.
Yeah, I recommend the food there, its nice.

OK will try to locate the chicken rice ball shop at melaka baru when I'm bck in Melaka end of this mth.

BTW, anyone of you know the current top & best Nyonya restaurant in melaka, I hv only tried ole Sayang which is so-so nia...I heard someone mention Nyonya Suan not bad? Wondering is this Halal & the current best nyonya in town? thinking of booking a nyonya restaurant for upcoming malfreemaps gathering end of this mth.

To add: not those hawker fair Nyonya food hor (i.e no donald & lily & 88museum cafe)  smile.gif
*
You can try Makko Restaurant almost directly opposite Ole Sayang, or the Nyonya restaurant inside Equatorial Hotel, the food is not bad but abit more pricey.

The cendol in Makko is one of the two best cendols i ever tasted, the secret is in the gula Melaka.

*if you want to know more abt the other best cendol let me know.

What day? you must try the cendol. Best in Malaysia. I suggest Makko in melaka raya. If you r coming for the weekend, you can try the one in Bkt. Rambai. It's made by an old nyonya aunty. If u want directions can PM me.

It's very secluded. Her stall is inside the compound of an old bungalow, that i think nobody stay, prolly the owners have migrated or smtg. This place is very easy to miss. Yeah, its after the school, maybe 3-5 mins drive. on the right.

if u celebrate during weekends, everywhere also alot of people. I recommend Simply Fish for proper dinner. Nadeje is more towards desserts. Both places have dim lights. Romantic enough.
