^ glad you enjoyed your trip.

You made a good choice, the right one is the original one. The brothers split the restaurant due to business rivalry perhaps.

you mean take delima to alor gajah then take metro bus from alor gajah to A famosa or?..

Delima and Metro Bus use the Alor Gajah Toll instead of Ayer Keroh. I dont know on how to get to A Famosa, maybe it is along the route....

Hi guys!! Bole tolong tak?  icon_question.gif

My friends from outside Melaka wanna see the town on 15/ april 2012 (Hari Melaka Bandaraya Bersejarah)
As a Malaccan myself, I m quite embarrassed to admit that I don't know the city well.. I have been searching for something exciting/happening on that day but to no avail.

The only event that I can find is Festival Gendang Nusantara (I m not a fan of gendang  sweat.gif )

Actually, what I remembered during my younger days.. there were floats (kereta berhias), some perarakan and a carnivale-like atmosphere donning the street of Banda Hilir. Takde lagi kah?

Anybody knew what fun thing to do during the visit (other than river cruise, taming sari tower etc

Any reply will be much appreciated... thanks  icon_rolleyes.gif

and... and... and... is there such thing as HALAL satay celop? I am craving for one.. Never taste 'em before but it seem the Qs are always long at places selling them  unsure.gif

I have seen one banner at the junction at bukit beruang (near petronas) advertising halal satay celup. cant catch fast enough the name and location.

I found this:
QUOTE
sate celup kota laksamana tu (kedai dia nama sate celup kota, signboard warna merah), direction nya macam ni..

kalau kita masuk tmn kota laksamana from jalan besar kan (either from tengkera ke, from town ke etc), ada area rumah kedai belah kiri.
masuk area tu (belok kiri lah kan), drive terus sampai kat satu roundabout kecik kat hujung tu, belok kanan, akan nampak kedai sate celup kota belah kanan. kalau terus ke depan lagi dah sampai pasar.

kedai tandoori tu belah depan2 dekat main road dalam taman. sate celup ni belah dalam.

Want to ask, is jonker street only open on weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)? P
*
The stalls and all will only be during these mentioned days and the road is closed for vehicles. On other days, you can still see some stalls along the walkway, and the brick and mortar shops are still open as usual.

Roughly how far to walk there?
Besides a famosa any other historical site? Don't wan shopping mall. And how to walk to Capitol satay celup?

Actually I'm not sure to try ban lee or capitol hmm.gif
*
EQ to jonker walk, around 1.5 km.

From EQ to Capitol about 1 km. Follow the road at the back of EQ. You will pass by Malacca High School and reach a TM building. Follow the traffic flow since it is only one way to the right. There will be rows of shophouses on your left and right. Walk further. Capitol is just a fw shops before the end, on your left, opposite a pet shop.

There is stadhuys too, the red building.

Walking to ban lee would be crazy biggrin.gif
