just wondering, you realised that its a fake AFTER purchasing it right?

did the shop just exchange it without any fuss? or were they reluctant to do so?
*
Yeap, but I decided to splurge a little bit more money to get something better, and it was a solid top one biggrin.gif
Changed without a fuss indeed. I myself wanted to find something better since it was the most expensive one around that range. rclxm9.gif

Rhapsody is a stupid shop la.

They're overpriced and they don't like people testing the guitars.

You can't even test the guitar with a pick.
*
Yeap, they aim for people who look like got a lot of money. I hate the short indian guy there. He act so lan si and he thinks he knows everything. They let you try for 10 seconds then that's it. Price wise, they simply naik more expensive. And you know for sure that it's very unreasonable, considering the kind of models they have. Stupid shop.

Remember the finish? I'm no expert but I think the Epi lp100s have bursts finishes and lp specials which are cheaper have solid finishes.

Yeah, the dreadlock dude is awesome. And you know, Aru (I think) from Koffin Kanser also working there. But urmm..their prices are the greatest flaw. Compared to bentley and all, some are RM20-40 more expensive. And get this bro, the guy I mentioned about was being dumb. He was explaining to a customer about this Ibanez GIO, the H-S-H one.
Then he said,"Okay, if you select bridge pickup, you play hot leads and really crunchy metal. If you select the neck humbucker, you can play jazz".

I mean like..WTH? Neck Humbucker for Jazz? Mana ada? HAHAHAHA..semi-hollow body wei..mana ada solid body punya?

think there's a blog post on google on identifying fake/vs original epis. Apparently Epi follows some standard measurements (distance of tone knobs to bridge, distance of logo from the headstock edges, etc.) that imitations lack. They have the same look, but the measurements aren't consistent with the original epis.
