Any 1 know calcuate the running cost/Hour for 1HP aircond?

Let say the unit price 1KWH = 0.40.

OK. Maybe i don't use inverter type.

Let say the normal 1HP power = 900W. I did check with Panasonic site non-inverter power.

1) Firstly, calculate the energy consumption in kWh
kWh = 900 W x 1 h = 0.9 kWh/1000

2) Secondly, calculate the cost of energy per hour
Energy Cost = 0.9 kWh x $ 0.40 = $0.36/Hour

* i used the $0.40 because the current usage with 1 aircond(myself) is reach 500kWhper month.
(for the pass 2 year never over 500KWH).

And now my new housemate install the new 1HP aircond + water heater, so i m going to tell them how much they should expect to pay me MORE. Currently they just pay RM20/person for electric + water.
So impossible i going to cover aircond usage for RM20/person.

Mine is more than 20 feet too...conceal a bit only the rest is cover by plaster ceiling and external cover by white PVC trunking. RM400 for 1.5HP included installation.
