Just got my 4 units of Mitsubishi aircon from HomeDec.Cost
Saving around RM450 compared to shop that I asked for

GF13VC (1.5HP) RM 11XX
GF18VC (2HP) RM 18XX
GF24VC (2.5HP) RM 23XX

http://www.melcosales.com.my/products/aircond/mr-slim-rac

Free sport bottle x 4  doh.gif
Free Glass Casserole 1.5 L x 4 thumbup.gif
Also could get a Refrigerator for RM399 (http://www.melcosales.com.my/products/refrigerator/1-door)

*Excluded installation...
*
GF18VC (2HP) RM 18XX

I ask OnKing shop, they quote me pay cash rm2099 each, i need 2 units, this price is excluded installation, no free any gift,
if i do for installment plan using credit card with 0% interest, it cost rm2199 each. Are this normal to add rm100 for this as it is 0% interest plan, how come need pay extra hmm.gif

are you paying cash for yr good price? it is so hard to get yr price rm18XX here sad.gif

I'm get it during the HomeDec, hence not sure whether you could get the same price or not. The shop is ESH Puchong Branch.
A forum member introduce a place near puchong, you may want to drop by to check (shop is next to top Ten puchong, LH Emart), also salling Mat brand but by cash will be cheaper.
*
i have checked ESH klang branch, but the promoter not giving best price, will double check again. tq

Most of the time, ESH cannot fight Legends pricing. Thats why ESH goes around telling ppl bad stuff bout Legends. But not once in my 2.5 years in dealing with Legends did they ever talk bad about ESH. Very disappointing attitude by ESH if u ask me.

beside in SS2, is there has Legand branch in Klang, i try google it but no result. TQ tongue.gif

Previous in one of the Deco Show, Legend SS2 given the price are higher than the retail shop that I ask (Mit brand). Hence I guess it depend on what brand they promote and not everything is cheap.
*
i just get best price from ESH Klang,
MS-GF18VC = rm2000
if 0% installment 12 months plan = rm2100

all abv without installation.

i still can not get yr home-dec price rm18XX sad.gif

the saleman say that model sold in home-dec is older model which is MS-GC18VC, i still not believe as you say yr one is GF18VC....

but panasonic one get more discount as they need to clear old stock for new incoming model.

Added on November 14, 2011, 1:20 amwill u also buy extend warraty on yr air-cod?

is it really required as Mitsu air-cond come along with 7 yrs compressor + 2yrs general waranty?

they quote me rm240 for extend more 3 yrs warranty on MS-GF18VC, seen quite high cost. I have asked the saleman how standard calculate the cost and he say 11% of the sum-insured, is that right?

i have checked a lot shops around klang, but only few shops got sell Mitsu air-cod.
ONKING quote me more expensive than ESH.
HLK only sell Mitsu Heavy Industry model.

yes, 7+5, you no need fork out any $ for repair if breakdown, include labor cost for transport & dismantle & install back.

for what i know from saleman, if only the existing warranty, they will free for repair but you have to absorn the labor cost for transport & dismantle & install back, is it right?

i'm still thinking want to extend warranty or not as both air-cond cost me rm240x2 = rm480

I think there are 2 types of Mitsubishi. One is Mitsubishi and the other Mitsubishi Industry or Engineering or something like that and they are not the same.
*
yup, mitsu electric and mitsu industry, both are not the same in term of quality and price. of course mitsu industry more expensive.

It will also depends on what is the temperature you are expecting form the AC. You have a staircase, which I presume is open to the upper floor. Thus source for cold air to escape. Unless your living & dining areas are enclosed, it will be difficult to achieve a very low temp.

The cost for the inverter copper piping is not very much from the non-inverter ones. Considering this over the total renovation cost and the need to hack and replace the piping if sometime down the road, you decides otherwise. tongue.gif
*
maybe all brand inverter aircond can use non-inverter copper pipe in future due to advance technology coming that time, all aircond manufacturers consider this market in future as no need for consumers change thier exist copper pipe. just to my cent... tongue.gif

I guess most with have or similar design floor plan like above, hence just want in place there.

I plan to (already purchased) place 2.5HP (Living) + 1.5HP (Dinner area), as I didn't see that will possiable make my area cool except if I inplace door at stracase and entry before the Kitchen area...

can use ikea's panel curtains block the kicthen entrance + staircase? i'm thinking to do so, any comment or other suggestion?

I used Mitsubishi Mr Slim 7 years ago. After 1 year, quite a lot of problem. 1st of all, it not as cool as new even i dont the regular chemical full service annually. 2nd, the aircon vent is dripping water when entering 2nd year. 3rd year, the board faulty and the temp control go haywire, even i set 25, the compressor will not stop, continuous running not stop and the temp is like 16 sad.gif after this incident, i gave up.

After i moved to my new condo, i bought Panasonic, happily even after and pana serving me well for 3 years + now and i will move them to my new landed house soon.

does econavi/autocomfort really benificial?
*
for me, objective of air-cond is to cool, econavi/autocomfort & bla bla bla are not my intention. rolleyes.gif

Here's a better photo. i notice there's a second copper host. can it be used forĀ  inverter?
user posted image

What about this 3 wires that is outside the rubber hose? cannot use?
user posted image

the small copper pipe for liquid while the big one is for gas, these 2 copper pipe are for refrigeration cycle, Liquid+vapor (in small pipe) -> inlet(fan) to give cood air -> become vapor in big pipe -> outlet(compressor/condensor) -> liquid+vapor (in small pipe).

inverter and non-inverter also use these 2 copper pipes for refrigeration cycle, but inverter need more thicker copper pipe.

the 3 wires located outside the rubber hose is air-cond power point, to be connected to the inlet (fan), while the 3 wires wrapped together with the copper pipes are connected from the inlet (fan) to outlet(compressor) as power and signal.

if you have asked yr contractor for use inverter air cond, i think yr contractor wont con you to supply thicker copper pipe because yr air cond installer will know at the end.
