is it ok to put the compressor higher than the air-con? if yes, is there a limit on how high it can goes?

i was being quoted rm280 for non inverter air con installation and around rm680 for inverter one. Is this a standard price?both already with powerpoint.so, the above quote is only for conceal piping and installation.
